@Riot - Turrets either need a damage buff or an attack speed increase.

Because they are way too weak right now and way too fragile for being so weak. Before 10 minutes, I died three times against a Draven and Nami as they turret dove us. The turret did nothing of any importance. It did not pressure the opponent to back off. It did not kill them for being under there a solid three seconds as he AA'd us to death. It just pecked them for a 1/5 of their health in that time...and this isn't even Alistar. Within the first 10 minutes the turret was at 1/2 health and we were basically screwed. My midlaner even went as far as whining at us for not farming under turret the entire game...which we did until the turret became useless at Level 5.

Why is it okay to for Turrets to be this weak? Why is it okay for the enemy laner to be able basically ignore the turret aggro as soon as they're ahead? Trading under the turret is one thing; Dying and then my opponent dying by the turret is perfectly fine - it has been a staple part of MOBA games. But when the opponent kills me under my own turret, despite the turret supposedly being my safe haven during the laning phase? That seems faulty.

I'm sorry, but this issue has only become worse since Season 5. It has been one of the most regular problems League games face outside of the typical gripes about champion balance. Yet, we don't see much response or consideration in improving a historically important aspect of every game. Can you please shed some light on this new philosophy? Why is it okay for turrets to at least feel so unreliable and more like a trap when behind?
