The silver challenge

Are you up for it?

If you are a high gold/plat player and call silver ELO easy to climb out, can you do it? In less than 70 games ofc (5 div, 7 games/div to climb, so at a 50% chance of winning: 35x2)

Post your results here to end the discussion that the ELO is all about luck

How? Every smurf i made was placed in gold. I would have to either buy low elo account which is against rules, Share someone elses account which is against rules. Or intentionally feed to drop which is against rules.

Decent player can only get into Silver or Bronze intentionally. There is no way otherwise

I had 3 afk's and a troll in my first years placements, and this year I had 2 people that joined saying they were wanted to lose and 1 afk. Last year it got me silver 5, this year it got me bronze 1, and I won the other games. Go figure?

As a casual player who quit 2017 for almost a year (check tier graph) and came back to the game just recently, it took me like 60 games to get from placements to plat. Silver tier, even after quitting and being rusty, is way too easy...

I decayed from plat when I quit so maybe that attributes to my placement in gold 5? Idk, either way, silver wouldnt be any different....

Last season was my first season I made gold, and I peaked at Gold 2. It took me several hundred games but once I got to around Gold 3 and 4 I felt like climbing was easier.

I was also using Maokai a lot in top and jungle and back then he was exceptionally strong.

This season I struggled early starting at Silver 4 but I got to gold at around 100 games, I am struggling at around Gold 4 and 5 atm. Currently maining Nasus again, and using Yorick or Darius as secondary picks if I get banned. Not as good with them as am with Nasus because I'm mostly a one trick.... =[

I strongly feel that it's not mostly luck, if you are worthy of climbing you will. The best thing I did to help me find my stride was to learn from my mistakes and improve, stop being toxic, and just acknowledge and accept the fact that some games are unwinnable and there is nothing you can do to turn the tide.

Learning from your mistakes, improving, keep toxicity to minimal and accept that you will lose sometimes and you will climb eventually. I was pretty toxic because I struggled this season, but I stopped and trying to regain my honor. Since I did that my winrate when from about 49 to 51% and I was actually on a 13 game winstreak in ranked recently simply because I didn't get toxic. Quite a few of those games my team was tilted af too, but I stayed in it did my best and my split-pushing madness and clutch TPs helped us get back into the game.

So... If you are worthy and you try hard you will climb. That's how I feel.

I have maybe already done it at the start of the season.

I got on a plane to California, I was only going to be in NA for a week so I decided to place and get Gold V fast.

I placed in Silver II and played for 1 + 1/3 weeks in a lightning campaign to Gold V.

I think it took at most SLIGHTLY over 70 games (probably less, but how do you check?). I didn't do any all-nighters or anything and it was on average about 3-5 games a day.

I reached Gold V but I had to do the final promos twice.

Gold V is the highest I have ever reached so if I can do it, then I'm sure Diamond etc can do it too. I did it playing non-meta picks like Viktor, Vladimir, and Miss Fortune.

I was gold 2 the first time I had a smurf in silver. IIRC it was placed silver 4, skipped silver 2, and was out of silver in like 30 games at an 80% win rate.

My main smurf account last year I played full ap nunu whenever I got autofilled (read every third game) and got out in 50 games or so from silver 4. During both of these I was playing new champions for the most part.

Ya my last smurf I got to 30 I actually tried to get silver by first timing champions in off roles, still only got silv 1 and went to gold pretty quickly. If there was a legit way to play an account in that elo I'd be down for that challenge.
