Okay so,when are you making a MMO game Riot?
I've been waiting for this to happen for years, please.

More importantly how many Ahri skins will it have?
Well considering that a while back they took the lead game-play/balance director (think it was ghostcrawler) onto another project. Other then that I think in a Dev Dairy the person in it said and I quote to the best of my knowledge "Our goal in the future is to have more then one game and make you have to decide which RIOT game that you want to log in for the night" So honestly, personally I think later this year or next we may get some news of something. (feel free to add anything I missed or fix any mistakes)
Not to be a debbie downer. As an avid WoW player for like 14 odd years..... Ghostcrawler killed that game. Why would anyone want another MMORPG with him involved. Does he have experience with it? Sure... His ideas ruined everything. Balancing to cater to the class he fancied at the time. Hard facts.
If Ghostcrawler killed WoW I hate to see what you think about Ion.

Yeah, one guy is solely responsible and not... You know... everyone that was working with him, his higher ups and whatnot. The hard facts is that since he was the only vocal voice at the moment when shit went down people had nobody else to direct their frustration to. You can blame ghostcrawler all you want. Doesn't mean much of anything. If anything I want to see a game made by him and him not be limited in the borefest that was AND STILL IS WoW
All the blame can't be lumped on one person, you are correct. But, the downfall of WoW was the introduction of cookie cutter methodology to help increase play for the standard player. This trend was what led to WoW slowly falling out with fans of 'classic' etc... And that is not based on 'assumptions' that is mentioned in interviews with him in regards to WoW. The goal was to make the game more accessible to a larger player base.
Anyway, the point being ---- League of Legends just so happens to make the same shift when ghost crawler joins the team. Could be coincidental, but the fact remains. Talents became more basic. Runes... yeah. Clearly defined metas become more extreme. I would be open to trying a game led by him, if riot does go down that path. I just don't foresee it being a great product with quality content if the goal is to make this game as easy as possible so more players join. Challenge and build up makes good MMO content that forces you to work with others. otherwise just play single player games.
I think this is an overarching challenge the gaming industry faces as a whole; the balance between difficulty and accessibility. Game developers have to pursue profits like all other businesses, but they need to keep games fresh, exciting, and challenging enough to keep you wanting more. I feel WoW fell short of that and League is slowly moving in that direction as well. It just so happens this DEV was on both teams as they trended down the same pathways, at least from what I have seen.
