I logged on, went to play a game and clicked Launch. A guy went first time support Vel'koz with ghost. I figured that was okay.

Then I find out after the match that the game set it default to Ranked even though I know I had it set to Normal.

ranked is not default , you are referring to draft pick. and they have said already they are making a blind pick (normal in your words) but they have to fix the long queues bugs first.

No, it is the default. I had to fix my client because of bugs caused by Riot, despite the fact I already reinstalled the game once this weekend because of that. Then I go into the game, despite my previous 150 games being normal, it's set to Ranked.

oh you are referring to order of SR game modes , maybe a picture would have made your point across. just because it is the top of the list does not make it default

It was set to the default, when I haven't played ranked in a year. There's a problem. If it was a bug, I'll report it as a bug.
