Riven can dash for 1075 units using 3Q and her E

And she scales extremely well with CDR.

So let's say that yes, she has 4 dashes.

Just by comparison : Q can reach 750 units W can reach 650 units with R can reach 1350 units, which is on her ULTIMATE Q can reach 400 units ( spammable,but way lower distance than riven's QE) Q can reach 650units.

And the list goes on.... So please, stop saying riven's dashes aren't actual dashes , when all together they can reach a potential 1075 units even though none of them are ultimates.

yes she has 4 dashes

but all of the 4 dashes are factually short

but yes the sum of her 4 dashes are fairly distanced, more than others' single dash

now, she does build a lot of cdr, so she's ridiculously mobile on account of those 4 dashes and is even resourceless so is even more mobile than "has 4 dashes" may lead you to believe

but none of that makes her four short dashes not exactly that. They are actually dashes but they are short dashes.

And if you ask me short-cooldown short dashes are more annoying than any other kind of dash (see kalista).

She's good at distance over a period of time, that's one unique thing she has going for her, in bursts- compared to someone with flat higher movement speed, Yi.

Her movement isn't instantly long, it's fast over moments

You're not taking into account the time and animations it takes for riven to dash 4 times. Those other champions you mentioned cover their dash distance in one cast, from the time they start moving until the time they reach their dash distance is very very fast. For riven she has to actually cast her spells multiple times and it overall takes much longer for her to each her full combined dash distance than it takes for those other champions (especially someone like zed who blinks instantly).

Yes she can chain them back to back and it might be intimidating to see her coming at you if she's already pretty close to you to begin with, but the only reason you have time to see her and be intimidated is because you didn't get smacked in the face instantly the way you would from a vi qing out of a bush or a zed blinking on you, etc.

Riven is agile and good at chasing and running away over a long distance where she has time to have her cooldonws , but she is not particularly good at closing the gap from long or mid range the way plenty of other 'in your face' champions are.

Plus, those dashes are a good part of her damage, and guess what? If she uses them for gap-closing, she won't use the dashes to kill you faster.

Her CD's are low, since she builds well, CDR as core. So she will have all her abilities as soon as she gets close to you, or she can just wait. If she can't kill you she has no reason to keep chasing you
