I thought Bard was gonna be some sort of traveling musician, (like a squire) who plays the banjo and tells stories while playing. Utilizing illusion magic (like leblanc) and hitting targets with musical notes from afar. Basically a male version of
but APC.

EDIT: Post whatever thoughts you had about Bard "pre-reveal" in the comment section below :3
DrCyanide2 votesI actually had a hunch from the preview that he would be a cosmic champion, based on their whole 'Oh, by the way, this constellation went missing for a while' line. Looking at the other champions that had been released I was also able to guess that he would be a support. I didn't hazard a guess at abilities though.
math crab2 votesKind of expected a pied piper champion that would lead minions around, since the only other option for a bard was basically just sona- stance based team buffer.
Laughing Fish2 votesI thought he would be an alien that had been watching the earth for centuries. I wasn't too far off.
ExecutorDill2 votesYa that sounds cool, I just love cosmic themed characters... can't wait for Ao Shin ;)
RazorTS1 voteshe looks like roamer to me, getting xp from passive and those shrines to help out 3 solo laners
the Anarchit3cht3 votesthey meant before all that info was released
TheKingDodo1 votesHe's described as a Santa Claus Blitzcrank
Zazusha1 votesi was atleast hoping for a character THAT SPEAKS.
Tin Tarantino1 votesI thought it was going to be the new lore
