Aatrox is Illaoi but better in every way

The exact same 1vX healing fantasy with more agency, more target access, less counterplay and lower cool downs. Also Aatrox is actually a lane bully unlike "minion without my ult" Illaoi who doesn't exist before level 6 and still isn't scary after, as evidenced by her having the lowest KDA in the game. And he scales better. Oh, and Aatrox can actually keep people in his distance to do his thing where Illaoi can just be baited and walked away from and then killed for free on the reengage.

Why even bother? Aatrox is complete freelo past the ~five games of learning curve and the only thing he's worse at is getting through ban phase.

Aatrox being easy too play isnt quite true but otherwise this guy is right. Illoai deletes you even if you are ahead with the ult or she cant use it she is weak even when fed.

They both are juggernauts from what I remember. I think the design behind Illaoi is that you wan't the enemy to come to you. I have myself been kited and just dashed away from while playing Illaoi so I can feel the pain. Illaoi has much more AOE damage if she is able to pull it off. And that's the thing. Illaoi needs time and patience to set her damage up which is easily countered by just killing her tentacles. Aatrox most of the time picks someone and rushes in on them, anyone else hit is just bonus. Illaoi needs to just hit the nearest target so her tentacles do damage and heal and has no time to really start chasing someone

I do agree that she is really bad without her ult. She needs more power put in her kit besides her ult. Since her ult has a whopping 70 second cooldown at rank 3, it's hard to do anything late game without just rolling over and dying.

TL;DR Illaoi is much more defensive than Aatrox and Aatrox has more offensive capabilities.

i would rather aatrox be strong than illaoi. She is just broken vs immobiles and tanks and useless vs mobile champs.

bro illaoi is immoble and ment to bait in aatrox so she can get him with her soul steal and just gut him down by using that then if he goes in on that he will take more than the normal amount of damage he would lose that matchup (his choice is to take the damage from the soul steal while trying to run out of its range or go in risking her ult then dealing almost 2x the amount of damage to him because she is hitting him and his soul at the same time and she also heals for more aswell) also just dont get baited and bait them instead?

also aatrox is a counter to illaoi and that shouldn't be a surprise because all champions have counter picks, its just a part of the game, even riven or yasuo have counter picks
