Why Is It So Hard For People To Just Accept A Loss????

This post was brought on from a game when I lost the lane but my team won the game. All game my lane opponent didnt say a word in all chat until we were in their base. Then they start talking crap about how im a noob, lost lane and such and such. Why do they have to be so salty? You can win every game. And just because you win your lane doesnt mean you are going to win the game.

But this is not the only game like this........seems like every game, even on all elos of streams I watch. There is always someone on 1 of the teams all chatting or post game asking for someone to be reported. Its almost like if you lose someone has to be reported or flamed.

So people stop being so salty...you will not win every game.

People tend to forget that this is a team game, and thus unless you win all three lanes and neutralize their jg there's always bound to be a "dead area". It's actually one of the reasons I find certain lane bully characters (pantheon) adorable, as they usually sacrifice things like scaling/utility for early-game KDA stats.

Yes. This is exactly what just happened in my game that just finished. I picked top lane Malphite....then other team picked Illaoi. I knew right then i was screwed because I knew i wasnt going to be able to out damage her. But she couldnt kill me either but she kepted me under my turret. And we killed her with ganks. Everytime I TP to another lane though she stayed top because it was her only chance to attack turret.......so during the time she got my top turret and kept pushing...we got 2 mid turrets and 1 bot turret and i made it back top to save the second top turret.

i can accept losses.

i cant accept losses because of 1 persons mistakes when we as a team/collective gave you every possible correction to win the game, but you made the executive decision not to communicate or work with us.

mechanics i understand, they outplayed you, counterpicked you, or just did better than you in general. but blowing your team mates off is a no no.

I can't accept a loss when Caitlyn is never fully connected to the game for more than 5 seconds at a time but the game won't let us /remake because she DC's then RC's over and over.

I always like when someone picks Panth or a similar lane bully and talks about how they deserve to win because they beat you in lane with a lane bully

My favorite is the wanna be general, who is in chat all the time, bitching about his teammates. First thing out of thier mouth is "so and so is so bad", they are so ignorant they can't even see that the other team may just be better in that lane.

I personally belive it may be an age difference thing, adults understand loss and even know they can learn from it. It would be a much better place if there weren't so many tantrum throwers.

I guess to some people it's a blow to their pride or something.

Whenever someone does well in game, they feel entitled to a victory, but when their allies do so poorly, it invalidates all of that player's efforts and individual success. It is frustrating and the player often projects that frustration onto their allies and opponents. It's because it is not always easy to do well in game, but when it does happen, the player feels like they actually have a chance to win the game. Previously lost games can also have a negative impact and whatever hope the player has of winning is suddenly destroyed and they're made to feel hopeless and trapped in an endless no-win scenario and that winning is just something so completely beyond their control as a result of the actions of others. So they blame their allies, they blame items, they blame champions (even their own champions, saying they need buffs), and they blame Riot.

Because playing well early in the game and still losing because other people on our team dropped the ball fucking sucks.

I feel it's slightly different when somebody just loses and when somebody loses and tries to make up too hard for it losing even harder. That's what happens and what angers me the most.

Like when somebody loses so much, that before you get an opening to help, it's already too late and helping would be a waste of time. Got outplayed? Fine. Got countered? Alright. Got camped? Whatever.

It happens to me that my lane opponent is simply better or gets a lead. After many seasons I learned how to tell, if I can take risk and go at somebody despite being behind and when I should play safer. But then there are those who played for as long as I did and wouldn't be able to tie their shoes without a god-damn picture manual. And then they go 0/5 in 10 minutes and waste all the potential the team could have.
