Got any tips? The problem is this meta.. it's just mindless fighting 5v5 all or nothing. Zoe relies on a lucky shot in order to be of any use. She really does suck at 5v5 teamfights. Furthermore, people in silver/ gold elo just don't have the patience to play around her.

harubun2 votesPersonally I have the same issue, all I've figured out that works is trying to pick up kills or try to get the enemies low by either roaming early or abusing E over wall mechanics during TFs, but that leaves you badly positioned 9 times out of 10, because the enemy team will know exactly where you are and smite you like a scuttle if your team doesn't go in or help you (Hint: they won't). [sg-ahri-1] Honestly just hope your team lands some CC or that the enemy walks into your skillshots. Either that or on certain spots of the map you can R towards a wall and E from there to get more range, but yeah it's just not the best.
Zoeish1 votesYou can deep ward and wait for someone like the adc or jungler. If you take them out you can easily (split-) push or take baron.
If you have a lead with Zoe you can easily do that.
Malix Farwin1 votesReally depends on your team more than anything. Zoe thrives in the mid game, if you can make it there without other lanes massively losing then you have a chance.
I tihnk in general i have a pretty good chance of winning the game if its 14 minutes and no one has lost a tower. Adversely if its 10m or under and someone has, the game has gotten significantly harder to carry unless you have taken mid tower already(which almost never happens because Zoe lanes get camped hard).

There is no advice how to win as Zoe because its team game and in this elo you either win early or start trolling/afk in mid-late. You cant tell silver player to wait for mid-late and you cant tell silver player to not fight.

id say go glacial augment and build 
and 
she doesnt really have the damage she used to in order to carry unless you have a HUGE lead its better to play her as a supportish playstyle while trying to catch people out with your bubble
