Is anyone else excited for Warmog's Armor buff?

This item might actually be bought on more than just a handful of champions? Volibear Garen DrMundo Soraka kappa <- Hell even these champions don't really buy it anymore?

Now grants Warmog's Heart if you have at least 2750 health, down from 3000 health Warmog's Heart Regneration** increased from 3% per second to 5% per second** Warmog's Heart undamaged time** lowered from 8 seconds to 6 seconds** Now goes on a **3 sec cooldown when damaged by minions and monsters **

I Hope its a more viable tank item now xD

I think it becomes a bit redundant of Garen past level 16. (His passive is that good after 16)

This looks like it will be a boon for Tank players on ARAM, I've even been experimenting with a RoA/Wormargs combo on some mages in ARAM just for the sustain.

though I'm not entirely sure if that was the problem though. Wormarg's has always been good at what it does. (Providing out of combat sustain to tanks) The real issue is, whether that niche is worth compared to other tank items. In SR, it would seem like most pro players don't favor the sustain, simply because it's easy enough to recall to base. Howling abyss on the other hand, it's extremely valued.

Yeah I know what ur saying and I agree, though putting it down to 6s is going to help. Plus a lot if tank items are losing hp so this could be a good way to make up for that loss

I just wish it did something for combat. Sure, the whole point is that it doesn't, but I don't like that. Having an active to ignore damage breaking the passive for X seconds is an obvious change, but extremely boring. The day before Stoneplate was revealed, I thought about Warmog's having an active to increase maximum health, but now that's not a possibility.

I think it needs to give enough health to nearly equal that of an armor item. Basically, the effective health should be comparable to that of lije a sunfire.. But we shall see these changes look good

I got so used to just calling it "warmog's" that when I read your title, I thought they were adding armour to it.

Warmog shoulda gotten back up to 1000 hp. With all the lowered hp going around tanks may actually have LESS effective health now. Tanks have to have both resistance AND health in order to actually tank.

Yes they added a few other damage reducers like gargoyle skin (not gonna lie that on HP zac or on cho is gonna be hilarious) but then we are right back into the must buy territory for some of the newer items.

I geuss I just wanna know...why can't tanks be true tanks? Lower damage, last guy standing, disruptive as all get out, and generally a nightmare to actually kill when backed up by a team.

I like the idea of the 1k hp again. But the reason why tanks arnt unkillable is because then we have only tanks and adcs in the game like earlier in season 6

But when a tank isn't somewhat of a generalist they aren't really a tank. Tanks are supposed to be hard to kill in all scenarios unless someone brings a tank killer.

Look at old Leona. When she popped that W steroid and went in she probably wasn't dying if she wasn't behind until the enemy team actually focused her or killed her backup. Now though she dies almost as easily with shield up as without it seems. She went from a very fun tanky as all get out initiate to a boring mostly peel only champ.

Old Rammus was the same way e,cept he doesn't have the benefit of just going to a target and rooting them. He pretty much always has to walk to the target. As far as a great piwerball into a taunt...that has nothing to do with his W.

He used to be an amazing initiate to an extremely unreliable one that also dies a lot easier than he used to. I'm not saying make all tanks unkillable dive machines but when they have a skill that is literally supposed to make them hard as heck to kill maybe they shouldn't die 3 seconds after starting a fight while that skill is active.

The thing though is if Tanks are strong then ADCs are generally the answer.. Which is why in the start of season 6 you had 3 adcs 2 tanks vs 3 tanks 2 adcs for most of the matches..

I'm not saying tanks shouldn't be hard to kill, but they shouldn't be invincible. And if you want to be insanely hard to kill, Riot gave you what you wanted. item 3193

Yes it makes you harder to kill. Problem is most of the disruption I had on characters that used that was also killed. Atm Leona Q is the only really good tank disruption I can think of at this point. We lost Zac ult, Rammus got harder to use, maokai got cut down a few pegs, and a few others. Sure I could play other champs for disruption but I don't want to. I shouldn't be forced to just accept a meta and play something I don't want to play.

And to be honest...AD junglers, bruisers, and a few other physical damage dealers are waaaaay more disruptive than tanks are. Why didn't they get cc cuts? I mean seriously I bet yasuo has more reliable cc and disrupt now than zac does. I mean Xin zhao is pretty much just a better zac now. More reliable engage, knockup, healing, an ult that can displace an entire enemy team INSTANTLY at the click of a button but no instead we just make tanks less satisfying to play.

In short maybe if zac or other tanks like him had about twice as much cc as currently than I'd be down with the chestplate but they just don't.
