I have an IRL friend, in fact, a best friend of mine, who used to play a lot of league with me. The difference is I wasn't big on ranked, but I was equally good if not better than him at the game. Now he won't even play the occasional game with me except without outright trolling the game. Anybody else have situations like this?

Seriously though my life is too time consuming. I'm in a bioengineering program and also working hard at getting into a top tier MBA program. I recently got accepted to a 6 year medical school program (3 years education 3 years clinical experience). I just simply don't have the time to throw away on League. I don't even have the time to play a game a day.

I think this probably has the most to do with it. Unfortunate, but I think I need a new friend group. It's been hard because most of the people I get along with are 5 years older than me (which is becoming less of a problem as I age).
sigh now if only I could find people who are more aligned to my interests...

Yeah I could play ranked with him, if he was willing to do so more often. He rarely if ever is willing to rank with me, even though when we do play together we both end up doing well.

Except he didn't. He would play with other people quite often. Mainly people ranked higher than him. I'm not saying he's bad, I'm saying he's not really better than me but has a superiority complex because he's stuck in gold V-IIV
