In the pursuit of skill we have killed off strategy

No longer are various strategies required. There will always at any one time be at most 1-2 possible strategies, between which the group with the more "skilled" players will win. No need to think outside the box, that won't reward you whatsoever (unlike old league). And if you miraculously do invent something out of the ordinary, you better not get attached to it because it will get nerfed and removed.

Where is the game I loved? Where is my reward for actually thinking? Where is League of Legends?

Remember when Splitpushing was a viable strategy? Remember when turtling was a viable strategy?

Remember when Teemo setting up a minefield at baron to ace the enemy 5 to 10 minutes later if / when they went to take it was a viable strategy? Suicide singed? AP Yi (i remember but i wish I didn't) DFG Garen?

Gone are the days of playing oddball strategies unless Riot themselves personally agree to conserve it for historic purposes.

I miss patch 4.20. Yes, Weedwick was broken, but damn the games were fun because they were actual games instead of 20 minute commercials for a game.

Strategies are nerfed if they're not in Rito's vision of the game.

The days of intense macro and micromanagement are gone. Starcraft's death has shown us that. The market has spoken and it seems to want skill based games over a mix of skill and strategy games.

I feel a lot of starcrafts death was the several minutes of macroing, for one huge deathball fight, and the "gg". Where as league has a lot of poking and prodding and fights going all at all times. I also believe it was Starcraft is getting to be more popular then Starcraft 2 again.

Agreed add up voted for visibility, if u try something out of the norm with out a team of friends ur gonna get looked down upon for at least 50% of the time, and it seems Riot it's hesitant to do anything to change that, I think ur title hits that right on the nose, and the release of Camille with all her focus on skill while maybe a coincidence definitely backs ur argument.

If fact within the next week I'm going to just try what ever ideas come to mind add see how people react and report my findings here, stuff like APC bot lane, support and fighter top lane and support adc mid lane. I say lets shake things up, no reason for every game to be so cookie cutter, why don't u guys suggest some strategies for me?
