Looking for some help/have a question

I'm getting pitted against a good deal of enchanter supports lately and it's an absolute snoozefest or a one-sided beat down.

If the enemy goes Sona, Janna, Raka, whats the best option? I run Ignite over Exhaust, but should we ask a jungle/mid assassin to roam in for kills? Looking for any general advice here.

Sona does A LOT of damage, be wary of her, but she's usually squishy, so if you burst her she can't do much. Janna has a great disengage, leona is a good counter, if you have someone thats consistently sticky, they're great against janna, or bait out her abilities. Rakan is a slippery one, dodge his W and you can land a few free hits on him, his Q can't go through minions, if he spams it and keeps missing he'll run out of mana, after going in he tends to retreat to his adc and stay by them, so try some aoe. as for his ulti, if you get qss/cleanse and use that agaisnt it he becomes quite vunerable if he's trying to ult more than one of you. if you need anything else just asl.

100% agree with you on Sona. Her low(er) mobility makes it great for burst/engage picks to do well against her.

Also agree with Janna. Need someone sticky.

Rakan's ult+W combo can't really be QSS's, though. Even if you QSS the charm, there's still the knockup and vice versa. After playing a lot of Rakan, he's easily countered by different crowd controls. If your support has something quick (like a lux stun, lulu polymorph, thresh flay, etc) you cancel the knockup of his W after he dashes in, and get some free damage until he dashes back out.

Either snooze fest it out or go ham as fuck. Early levels soraka can't heal /that/ much in a 2v2, she has a long cooldown on her w and without healing items she's likely not going to heal that much. For sona, she uses SO MUCH MANA to use her heal. Abuse this by poking them down so she goes oom. Focus the support while your support zones the enemy adc, this works if the other adc isn't very confident with their early game levels. Abuse the level 2 powerspike. Zone them off the first 1-2 waves of farm and all in them at level 2 (or just poke the shit out of them). Make the supports lose mana/zone them off their coin mana/gold. Walk over it, place a cait trap on it, you have to be really close to the coin in early game to pick it up, if you harass them every time they do they will not want to walk forward to get it. If you can't get to them ask the jungler to roam, or have your support roam and get mid ahead/place deep vision, do something else on the map.

Patch 7.21 just nerfed Ardent Censor pretty hard, so enchanter supports ought to be less of a priority pick than before. That being said, I main support and have found a lot of success with specific counters (like Sona into lulu, or Soraka into any of the other enchanters) but if you play a lot of support then you should know how to play Blitzcrank .

If you can land the hook, you can counter any squishy enchanters in lower elo. Be really intentional about getting a level 2 advantage (don't do a heavy leash and proc your relic shield on the first wave of melee minions, and push for lvl 2 first) and try to get your lane ahead early. Crush your lane so that your adc is further ahead in damage items than their support is in healing potential.

If you're getting into higher elo, then Thresh offers the same pick potential and more overall utility.

Basically, if you can't counter with a better enchanter, get ranged-pick-potential and crush your lane hard enough that they're behind for the rest of the match.
