Nidalee pounce reset changes, we arn't all challenger players..

im not going to lie... i am pretty dismayed on the pounce reset changes on PBE for nid

as a silver player i have already had a VERY hard time adapting to the removal of the root on jungle mobs.. and i STILL cant come close to what i could before that change. now i understand nidalee overall win rate went up after that change, but that was because of the buff to her late game takedown

overall i know it is certainly POSSIBLE to do a full clear with the current nidalee (on live) but i am still having a VERY hard time with it. and i normally back after my 3rd camp.

the change that was done really made nidalee jungle lvl 1-4 much harder for player at lower elos like myself. and while i can adapt to it i am STILL trying to get back to where i was before the removal of the root.

and now i see the pounce reset nerf... now maybe at high level play this is needed, i don't know

but what i do know is that i haven't even been able to adapt to the LAST nerf to her early clear. now we already have another one?

nidalee has been my main since day one... i joined on nidalee free week in season 3.. i bought nid with IP before the end of that free week. and she has been my main ever since

i originally played her mid lane.. then top mid and support.. eventually i was forced to jungle with her because riot destroyed her other lanes in order to make her jungle viable but not "OP" in the jungle

now i understand nidalee is VERY strong at higher elos.

but i have been playing her for 3 years.. i know her mechanics inside and out.. now i can jungle with RekSai and Khazix (my other 2 junglers) and do a full clear extremely easily now on my main Nidalee i am having a VERY hard time doing a full clear as it is now and you put a nerf on PBE to make it HARDER?

i have been playing nidalee for 3 years and i am having a VERY hard time adapting to the jungle changes

i don't see how ANYONE in my elo or below could even attempt to try to learn nidalee with what you are doing to her.

she is frankly becoming too hard to do her early clear with.

a proper nerf should do what it is designed to do without having any other negative effects.

maybe your nerf is the right thing to do for higher elos.. but you need to realize what you are doing to lower level nidalee players. you cant just make it so unless i get a diamond player to guide me step by step though a clear that i can even fight the jungle without dying.

every nerf i see to nidalee makes significantly it harder and harder for lower level players to pick her, and yet it barely hurts her higher level play.

if she needs a nerf at higher level play.. then so be it.. but PLEASE find a way to do it without making it so i cant even play my favorite champion anymore becuase i don't have at APM and positioning of a diamond player.

Unfortunately master Nidalee players can be incredibly oppressive and it's been that way for awhile. Nidalee kit is always in a state between being either useless or borderline OP. Every time she gets even a slight buff she breaks into op territory which leads to gutting nerfs which leads to low pick rate until the buff/nerf cycle begins again, more so than other champions.

I'm not saying they cant nerf her, I'm saying is WHEN they do nerf her they should do nerfs that don't make her harder to play skill wise

for example the LAST nerf they did was to remove the root.

that had the effect of making her early clears slower and make her take more damage.

which is good when considering higher lvl play

but the nerf ALSO made it so that EVERY nidalee player had to now have high level micro mechanics in order to jungle

riot wants to lower her damage and make her take more damage , but instead of touching her level 1-3 damage numbers or her base armor and scaling, they remove the root, making a full jungle clear they could previously down by a lower silver or high bronze player now need the mechanics of a low plat player

while i dont like nerfs to my fav champ in general, no one does, I'm not going to say they arn't needed

what ISN'T needed is the WAY they are nerfing her. there are plenty of ways to make a champ weaker without increasing the skill cap needed to successfully play her by insane amounts

The sad thing is LCS/challenger seem to determine balance on this game. Poppy is a great example of this. She is only successful in challenger and LCS. You would think they would be able to balance champions in a way where they didn't hurt their ease of access yet nerfed their actual power.

Agreed. With an already very low pickrate in lower elos, the way they are gutting her pounce and speed are ridiculous. She barely has a 52% winrate in Plat+ elos and imagine the drop when it comes down to Gold and Silver. Not to mention most of those who play her at that high of an elo are only nidalee mains. She was already nerfed 3 times in a row and they're doing it again. In fact, they should consider buffing her as her only source of real significance is her spear, which is already difficult enough to land and easy to dodge. Riot's going about this the wrong way.

i dont think the current pounce change is all that bad of an idea.. but that fact that it occurred AFTER the removal of root is beyond ludicrous

i actually think this is a good way to nerf nidalee but you CAN'T do it without giving her her root back
