Idea: Noc R spawns Q trails behind all enemies and Passive CD reduc is doubled against Q'd enemies

Spreading the Darkness and giving him more incentives to fight/chase people on a trail

Currently his Passive is reduced by 1 second per Auto, on a Q trail this would be doubled to 2 seconds

Q trails last 5 seconds and R lasts 4, so they would last for the entire duration of the Ultimate

You could also throw in his Q attaching to Monsters as a QoL thing, so its easier to keep your Q bonuses while jungling.

Thoughts?

Instead of just increasing his R range I thought it would be better to give him more thematic power, and also power up his dueling and chasing instead of just his R in then E you to death gameplay.

want thematic power? give him the ability to fear his enemy as a ghost

how? reduce the cooldown of the ultimate if he doesn't use the jump

That gives him a ridiculous amount of power. He'll almost never use the jump in competitive.

he will, or he won't be able to gank, or to close up a target.

sounds good. And they need to give him a bit better base AD/armor imo.

They've made big changes before to champs. Something like this is likely to come on a minor rework anyway.

They made champs op as well. They don't need to do that to noc

Not really anything wrong with him as it is. I have mastered Nocturne and very much enjoy him. I prefer the R having extended range as the enemy is scared to fight most times for fear of me appearing from nowhere. His ability to duel is fantastic with the W. His chasing ability is great with Q, E, and a botrk, and even randiuns. Not much needs to be adjusted right now.

I have been playing a lot of Nocturne for the last few weeks, mostly because I need to learn JG better. I think he is fine where he is TBH. his passive is really only there for sustain in jg, or aoe in a team-fight. You do have to remember the passive gives 120% damage, a lower cool-down on that is kind of OP. Typically if the enemy doesn't run from you after you ult them they will die anyway regardless of who they are. I find that building frozen mallet (I heard the moans of Nocturne mains) as a 5th item prevents the enemy from running away. I understand what your saying about his R E death game play, but that kind of defines him. Jump scare the **** out of an unsuspecting enemy then chase them as they try to escape your wrath. Kind of sadistic, I leik it :3. I haven't really seen a lot of nocturne guides so can someone tell me if this build is ok? I used to lose a lot of games with the more traditional build so I changed it up and I win almost every game now. (cinderhulk -> hydra -> lucid boots/merc treds -> banshies/randuins -> Frozen mallet/Another defense item -> Black cleaver)

Or ya know....make his level 1 ult not complete shit, just give him back his range so he can ult someone without being in auto attack range.

Can his ult hold sight of targets in range? I lose line of sight on targets all the time. It sucks.

Honestly I didn't think anything of the other suggestions, seem like straight up buffs. This though, this is a QoL he could definitely use.
