Wow dude ornn is garbage.

Everything in his kit feels so clunky and slow. What's the point in playing a guy who's CC is incredibly situational and everything moves at 2 MPH?

I've seen some ornn's wreck face. I think you have to get his combo down with a team that follows up with him.

a team that follows up with him.

This could be part of my issue, but I maintain that he sucks.

Have you tried a combo with Q to start slowing them down, W immediately to get the damage and debuff, and then angle your E to get a crazy good knock up? That chunks enemies pretty hard and the timing has to be just right to break the Q as it comes up. You can't do E immediately after W or you'll just ram into nothing and then the Q will pop up right after you arrive.

yes but any competent opponent, or one with a dash ability, would dodge the Q and W easily. After that you're just done.

Oh I wasn't specific about the situation of the combo. I use it as a counter engage on someone who goes at me or my teammates after they've used a gap closing move. It punishes people horribly for engaging and even takes tanks down a lot because of the % health.

Even then it's still a poor combo. His high CDs make him useless after using his combo.

That's what makes the team following up super important. After he counter engages to peel, he has to get a good ult off and have a team that takes advantage of it.

He's more situational, in my experience with playing Ornn, having Ornn as an ally, and playing against Ornn, but he can definitely make huge contributions in the right situations.

I feel like he could be passable or even great on a coordinated team, but otherwise he just feels like garbage.

Overall I'd agree that he does really poorly if he doesn't have any synergy. Particularly in ARAM.... man, he's pretty bad in ARAM even though the lane is small... I have never seen an Ornn do well on ARAM.
