NA teams don't usually make it far in worlds and they've never taken first place ever.
So...I don't have a reason to pay any attention to the LCS scene.
Also, at risk of going a little off topic, I hate how players try modeling everything they pick and buid off LCS without any kind of inkling as to WHY those things were done in LCS in the first place. And I'm told, "trust, it's op" every time I voice my doubts. And then it's gg for me because bronze and silver players just try playing copy pasta and ultimately fail at it.
The Oasis1 votesNA and EU actually looked fairly strong this previous worlds. Misfits were one failed Tower dive away from beating SKT 3-1, but they (seemingly) let their nerves get the better of them. I think the West has a decent chance this year as long as team quality doesn't completely tank.

That's why you cant please everyone, and no, if the damage was low they wouldnt throw themselves at each other like silver players looking for kills. I personally enjoy it for what it is, the casters are entertaining, the decisions are smart and it's a fun thing to watch at the background, but i never saw it as a main event stop everything LCS is starting!

JackMcSnipeyz4 votesThey still do, in c9 vs Clg game tristana and braum would constantly go in on varus and taric and do short trades. Mid zilean vs mahlz was constant farm and poke. Top was GP so he was poking every chance he had. Rengar was counter jungling constantly fighting seju.
Skrimishes do happen, but they dont die unless someone commits hard because they know when to disengage and not just bash heads endlessly.

Videogames just don't translate to fun to watch often for me. Though watching low tier games can be fun occasionally do to the lack of care/brawling and what not.

Plus as others said, only Asian teams take it seriously and dominate.

Even I get annoyed by that, but calling it "boring" is a far longer shot than being annoyed at the meta, which in itself is a problem that runs way deeper than the LCS. Not opening that can of worms here!

Watching Flyquest beat TSM yesterday was awesome, why? Because Flyquest was aggressive, they saw an opportunity and took it. They didn't play the passive no fight game that "top tier" teams like TSM and SKT did. All SKT games in world's were boring... SKT would farm for 40 minutes, win one team fight then end.

Then there is a strange agreement that none of the laners will ever attack each other for 20 minutes until somebody does a 4 man bot lane gank and mid game starts where everyone but top just looks for a misstep.

Everyone gets their ults at around 6 minutes which just so happens to be when you get stopwatch so people don't want to go for plays when the enemy has that because it helps buy so much time. Look at the C9 vs GGS game and that early game action. Everyone and their fucking mother turned golden in the first fight XD

It is more than just tower aggro. If you use stopwatch to dodge key cc and dmg, the enemies won't be able to stay under tower and continue the dive as most cc is not coming back in 2.5 seconds. Also, the delay stopwatch provides allows other players to crash towards the lane and add to a fight, making it very high risk to go after someone with a stopwatch.
Spank the Fox1 votesMy point is that you made it out to be a deterrent against dives, but it also enables dives to happen more often because statis will remove aggro, which is huge when you have minions for the tower to reset on.

WDG Devour2 votesThey need to bring back catch up experience and buff towers. Giving away kills is something you cannot do at all now else you lose off the snowball alone. Last season it was possible to recover or even win from behind, that is not a possibility right now.
It's funny because Riot did this damage creep and no catch up experience for shorter games and now games are going 90+ minutes in pro play... the opposite of what was desired.

They all just play so slow and never do any crazy picks, only super meta shit. Its like ever game follows a template, because they all play out almost the same pattern every time
