We should rework Thresh Soul passive to be more interesting

Still infinitely scaling but with a bit different functionality. Here is my proposed rework idea:

Only champs, cannon minions, large/epic monsters, and scuttle drop souls now. Champion and epic monster souls are worth more.

Souls no longer give AP and armor but slightly new functionality tied to his abilities.

His E passive auto bonus magic damage no longer scales on total AD and souls. E becomes slightly reworked on activation after you flay an enemy and damage somebody with flay your next auto deals a bunch of damage based on total souls gathered.

His W gets the biggest change in that for every soul he has his shield becomes 5% stronger. If the base value is 200 and he has 20 souls his W will shield for 400.

Souls are worth the following:

Cannon minions, super minions, large monsters, and scuttle crab: 1 soul.

Champions: 2 souls.

Dragons and rift herald: 3 souls.

Baron and Elder Drake: 5 souls.

More powerful abilities in return for no AP and 17 non-scaling armor. Think about only the last one.

P.S. W would be crazy op, reaching 800 damage shield (assuming it only increases base value's shield).

You might as well remove the passive entirely. People barely go for secondary objectives anymore; hell, they don't even go for the primaries, and on top of all that, you missed the point of Thresh entirely.

You are approaching this hypothetical rework more like he's an assassin jungler, akin to Rengar or Kindred. Thresh is a support. He's almost never around jungle camps when they are contested, and the boons he'd gain from these are sparse and negligible for a purpose he's not usually played to do, rather than a slow, but clear and continuous buildup that he does throughout the whole game right now. You also end up placing too much emphasis on the dragon and baron, which I will remind you no one ever goes for anyways.
