Why damage is so high now
Main point This is just a theory that I'd like to discuss but I think the reason there is so much damage now compared to season 1-3 is primarily because of the runes. Think about it. Back before thunderlords or electrocute existed, zed never got that large chunk of burst from just landing 3 attacks/abilities. The reason why tanks are dying much faster now than they did back then. Why janna actually can hit an ezreal really hard with w even though janna was known to be one of the champs who's attacks were almost as light as air. I believe it all has to do with the new runes. Why do you guys think there is so much damage now?
On a side note Now, I don't think tanks, bruisers, juggernauts whatever you want to call them should be tanky and also have the same amount of damage they already have. However, I do think they should be tanky to survive. So either they stay at their state now where they die in 5 seconds if focused, but still deal the same amount of damage they are doing now, or make it that they are tankier but don't deal the same amount of damage they do currently. Because if you allow any tanks, bruisers, juggernauts etc to become tankier, you should know they will be doing more damage because they are alive longer. That's where the balance will become not balanced.
Remember This is more so about me saying why i think damage is so high, not me saying we need people to be more durable because hell i hate the tank meta more than this everyone does damage meta. I'm just stating the whole tank thing in the case that riot reverts runes, which i highly doubt, but it would be something to think about if tanks, juggernauts, bruisers started becoming tanky again. But what are your thoughts? Why do you think there is so much damage now? Is it because of an item change? Because of champion patch updates? Because of new champions put into the game?
