To put it blunt, it's like Bronze vs Diamond in terms of team coordination and attitude.
There's always that one asshole who dies once, blames jungler (or support if they're the adc, or the adc if they are the support) griefs the entire game and sometimes even intentionally feeds or AFKs on purpose.
Do you have these type of players on stock just to make promos more hell than it has to be? Cause that's definitely what it feels like.
It's a psychological tendency to think this way.
When the stakes are higher than normal (i.e. during promos), you're more alert to anything that might happen, and more likely to be affected by it. That's why people think they always get bad players in promos, because they're too concentrated on everything that's going wrong.
