Assume you are someone like Urgot or Illaoi. You are against Teemo or Mordkaiser. I got adaptive helm to deal with them but my friend says it’s better to get black cleaver, but I told him what’s the point of getting a damage item first when Teemo just pokes me and mord just beats me in every fight? What do you guys think?

Chembaron Yamada1 votesI main Urgot and do the same, rushing Adaptive Helm against these match ups. It greatly reduces their damage and enables me to win lane that way. My base damage is oftenly high enough to deal with most targets that way (if they are not insanely fed).

If you ult during his ult cast time you become unstoppable during the leap, which stops you from going to the death realm, thus putting his ult on CD without doing anything but stealing stats.
The reason Morde wins vs Illaoi is because of how absurd he is AFTER laning for the rest of your team. They're relatively even in lane.
QSS is a waste. You can already avoid death realm 100% of the time without it as Illaoi.
#Just learn to save your ult for his.
At neutral Illaoi has the advantage. The only way Morde can do anything is if he ults, and the Illaoi players that know how she works know to ult him back at that point to avoid the death realm and pummel him because almost none of them know that you can do that.

Nope you dont have to be untargetable since his ult is classified as a type of cc, any effect that removes or delays cc effects works against it.
Its funny that as warwick you can prevent his ult with a lucky timed Q, or ornn w, basically anything with unstoppable.

Which doesn't really make sense, since normally CC cast on unstoppable target is applied for the remaining duration after unstoppable effect ends. Still, glad to know that interaction, it completely changes the matchup.

Its something to do with the way each ability is programmed, morde "banishing" the champion only happens at the end of his channel (0.75 seconds) so if that instant you are unstoppable you have technically had the full duration of cc, as at that specific moment is where you are transported (suppressed) to his sex dungeon.
As opposed to malz ulting a warwick as he ults (and warwick misses) gets suppressed for the remaining duration as malz is continuously applying the suppression.
This game is just a large bowl of spaghetti with odd interactions, like tf can technically free himself from warwick ult with his gold card but it has to be timed perfectly.

If you go untargetable, zhonyas included, it doesnt even put his ult on CD.
Cc immunity or cleanses work, but not BV, malz, or EoN. Because his ult starts with a .5 second slow that consumes them.
wolvius1 votesIt probably depends, if you have decent base damage abilities you could probably go that and tabi into teemo and do reasonable. You will be sacrificing waveclear by doing so as well and hope not get to far behind by that stage.
Don't know about morde, if your ad hes probably gone seekers (which is far better than adaptives build path) and wrecked your ass anyway as he'll have 45 armor from it while whacking you in his sex dungeon. Even with adaptive I think he would win that exchange _also throw in a tabi's to his build too _.

Lovelle1 votesIllaoi and Urgot actually have ranged abilities, so they can get their core item first no problem. If you really need the MR, just grab and sit on it until you complete your first core damage item.
