I'm afraid to cc fiora

All comments about how 'fiora sucks right now' aside, that's the biggest reason i hate this champion just as part of her design.

She's a high damage champion that i'm afraid to cc for fear of 1: the cc being wasted and 2: getting stunned and then killed in the duration of that stun.

And the purpose of this discussion is? You complaining but not asking for advice? It's not constructive

what the fuck? I'm literally just sharing an opinion, it doesn't really have to be contructive.

It depends on the ability.

Fiora's Riposte is only reliable against CC with telegraphed animations such as Darius's E or Gnar's W.

CC with instantaneous effect, such as Udyr's Bear Stance AA or Riven's W are still decent against Fiora. In order for Fiora to block and redirect these abilities, she will have to predict that her opponent is about to CC her. She cannot rely on the animation of these abilities to time her Riposte.

I find that hitting Fiora with CC point blank will almost always be effective. For example, rather than casting Malphite ult from half a screen away, walk up to her and use it point blank eccentrically in lane. If your CC has a obvious animation before you can cast it, such as Jax E or Udyr E, walk up to her with the animation, and bluff that you will CC her. If Bear Stance or Counter Strike is about to run out and she still hasn't cast Riposte yet, just back off.

Also, her W CD is around 20 seconds at rank 1. Her W is ultimately still a skill shot. Most people forget that they can just walk out of it and have their CC abilities back up before Fiora's W is off CD again.

Have you ever faced a Fiora using scripts? That's some weird shit to deal with. Anyway, you need instant CC against her... It's just a matter of outplay in that scenario. Lets suppose you're Renekton: Well, if you charge your fury up you can soak a big load of damage on her french ass with W, but in order to do so you need not to be previsible, which would mean a riposte right on your W and a dead croc afterwards. You can, for instance, dash at her pretending to engage - most Fiora players will use riposte as quickly as possible preventing W's stun and damage -, wait for her W animation to end while you try to Dodge it using flash or whatsoever and then proceed to beat her. Congratz, you've outplayed a Fiora. But lets not pretend we can always be strategically efficient against her... Summarizing, fiora is a really punishing laner to play against and a skillful matchup.

Bait her W. Pretty simple if you're a champion like morgana and so because they get nervous as they wait for the CC to come...

That or bring 2 champions that can hard CC her, one to bait her W, the other to actually land the stun.

Okay, good for you? FIora's trash.

There's a reason I take singed against her. Just run at her and she'll use her parry, then just run by her until it's over

You're suppose to be smart about using your stun against her. You shouldn't be scared, but you should be cautious

The thing is, it's up to Fiora to actually cast her W at the right time and reflect the CC, so you can often fake her out by going through the patterns that would normally lead up to casting your cc, but just not casting it. Her W also has a longer cooldown than most CC spells, meaning you need to make sure you pay attention to when she's casting it so you can take advantage of the cooldown. Pretty basic stuff, really...

Reason why you either need her to use her CC counter ability first or use it quick enough where she can't react fast enough.

You need to use someone who has consistent damage which can force her into wasting her parry to avoid damage rather than a stun. I find brand top works very well. I don't think I've ever lost that matchup. Eventually she is using her parry to block w's instead of q's.

"Just bait it out" Yeah remind me of that when my Q takes easily half a second to one second - more than enough time to see coming - just to hit and activate. Teemo

Tell me that again when my stun stops taking the same amount of time to activate as her parry lasts. Gnar

Sorry I tried but unfortunately I have a dash, and not a blink. Shen

Pretty much any Fiora with half a brain won't take the bait. They'll wait 'till you activate it and be holding shift the whole time for the insta-activate, and then stun or slow you back. So pretty much anyone without two CC abilities can't bait it, and anyone with two CC abilities probably doesn't have the damage to fight back unless its AP Nautilus or some crap. Best you can do is 1v2 her and even then unless you have a CC-chain after her parry she'll just break out after the duration and kill you both.

I've won against Fiora several times playing as Warwick top and had my ult blocked only once

Shroom Junkie1 votes

Warwick's ultimate is immediate and unpredictable. Its why he's so toxic, because he just clicks on you and assassinates any squishy without and counterplay except QSS which still deals the damage.

Pretty much anyone but Warwick and maybe a couple others I can't think of with point-and-click immediate CC's she can easily parry and give 0 craps about. And honestly if Fiora couldn't win a 1v1 against an early-game top lane Warwick they probably sucked.

lol you're understimating his dueling power... Few top laners can actual duel him; He's not a good laner because of no scape and mana management problems.
