Feast's a really high true damage spell, capable of getting to around 1000 damage late game on a tank build, with Stoneplate pushing that up a few hundred more assuming a normal number of Feast stacks. That's more true damage than we'd normally be happy seeing from a champ in a single ability. Cho's got some pretty pronounced weaknesses however, in particular his long cast times, lack of mobility and limited reliability. Between those and the need to build Stoneplate, be around 3+ enemy champs and get into Feast range we concluded it was appropriate to allow the Cho/Stoneplate interaction to exist. So far that's still our take on it at present too.

very fun meddler right?

morde definitly didn't have 1000 range aoe knock up spell and we nerfed his 3rd Q, because dying every 5 min by a flash 3rd Q was beyond bullshit

admit your mistake, remove stoneplate from the game and fixe this problem

Um Cho'gath can ult once in a fight, mordekaiser definitely qs more than once.

Yes with a delay between each swing and only one of those doing significant damage

Apple's /=/ Orange's. It's not a good comparison

Honestly I'd like to talk about how Mordes builds that focus on Base AD pumping (Steraks and Triforce) are clearly inferior to Full mage Morde.

Having a build with more counterplay should have a Larger reward Due to the nature of how riot see's Risk reward. Yet with this particular case that philosophy falls on its face

Not defending Cho, but Mordekaiser gets his Q a lot earlier and didn't really require a full item for it.

And it wasn't the reason why they changed it.

It was too binary, he either hit his 3rd Q in a fight and won or didn't. It flattened his damage curve and made him more reliable.

He needed items for it to do damage tho

Not really considering it naturally multiplied off of each hit.

Items made it a lot better, but it wasn't exactly weak with early trades.

That's entirely dependent on enemy build. If they grab a negatron cloak or Merc treads 1st back it reduces Mordes damage significantly. Most people are dumb and don't counter build however.

Why don't we try to fix it first? Hmm?

Simply making the bonus health a shield that lasts for the exact duration would be unnoticeable for most champs that buy it, but health scaling true damage won't be affected by a shield, so Cho would be fixed.

^This.

I don't think people would be speccing into resolve for the buffed shield above that either, so it would probably work.

item 3190 (the other item they're stacking with it) doesn't have a "buffs shields" passive either.

In addition, it would remove the unhealthy "activate item 3193 then press item 3190 for a massive team shield bigger than pre-nerf mid Karma RW."

Oh hai Frost. Been a while.

Hey Tyrek^^, it has indeed. Been spending my time mulling over a Yasuo GU, since the Riot one was put on icebox.

That's not true, Mordekaiser was nerfed only after Riot saw it was pick/ban state at LCS, they didn't give a shit about him when it was only the community doing it like usual.

Even though Cho'Gath is the same shit right now, he needs to spend an insane amount of gold for item 3193 , be near three enemy champs (how could that happen in a game where you need to group to win?) and then he needs survives somehow being collapsed on.

Wait, does Stoneplate's Active reduce Feast's dmg?

Wait.

Did I read that right?

"Considering that this is only good in team fights, we thought it was fair."

That's basically what I read, right?

I mean, there's no need specifically to remove Stoneplate.

They just need to make it so that Cho'Gath's ult doesn't scale from what Stoneplate gives.

And this is coming from someone who happily abuses this interaction.

They need to make it so stone plates HP active is granted as base HP instead of bonus. It fixes the item without nerfing it OR the champions who rely on it.
