Only thing he needs is for Q bleed to work on monsters.

There's a difference between 'I can jungle with this champion' and 'I can consistently do well and not fall behind as a jungler with this champion'.

I can and have jungled with Leblanc, Talon, Ryze, Zyra, Yorick, Kass, etc and I can truthfully say that the only viable junglers in the bunch are Kass and Yorick. Sure you can play them as junglers, but you're gonna be lvl 4 by the time the enemy jungler reaches 6. You're going to have very little map pressure and will have to back way more than the average jungler. And you're going to be 100% at the mercy of the enemy jungler if they decide to invade.

Talon's slightly above that point now. Allowing his Q to work on monsters would tip him past that point and make him a viable jungler.

the question is if they want that. talon has really reliable ganks thanks to his e. if he would have decent clear speed, he would be more of a pain in the ass than le sin.

Tbh, I think jungle talon would be a bit unhealthy, just due to the relative power of his ganks. Point-click gap closer slow + Rake slow + constant reveal on bleed, tied into a kit that does assassin level damage... it's pretty scary.

But the larger issue is this: talon's early game is his weakness. The jungle can, in some ways, negate this, because he can farm from a position of relative safety within the jungle and engage enemies in 2v1s through ganks. Yes, he's still fragile, but a lot of the opportunities you have to punish his bad early game would go away. I think if Talon were allowed to jungle, we'd see some major power issues with him, and his mid lane would undoubtedly get nerfed along with his jungling.

Still, I'd be in favor of trying it out, and then removing it if it turns out to be an issue.

i've done it. it's not amazing, but you can clear and you've got pre-6 mobility to gank so it's actually not bad.

bleeding monsters would be pretty sweet though

I know it can be done, I've done it many times before. There are very few champions out there that you can't make work in the jungle. But I don't want to just 'make it work', I want it to be a decent pick. I don't want to struggle to get passed level 4 while the enemy jungler is level 6, I want to be able to keep up with the other junglers out there.

i feel you. i was really hoping Kassadin's update that made all his autos scale with AP would make him good in the jungle, but the complete lack of scaling with levels and abysmal AP scaling crushed my hopes

i also really want Akali jungle to be good

and i always hoped MissFortune would be turned into a dedicated AP mage

Kind of the opposite happened with MF haha.

There are just so many champions that have so much potential as junglers.

Being dropped to 5% hp at second buff is a thing? go away clueless troll, jungle Talon is risky as fuck.

There's really a lot to be said for not buffing random champs to work well in the jungle.

See: Nidalee.
