I used to be a Rumble main but they systematically gutted every single one of his skills.

Meta changes. The typical guinsoo's users that became popular this preseason all give rumble a hard time in lane, as well as dariu, fiora and riven. Coordinated teamfights in which he thrives happen rarly since preseason, it's more random skirmishing and snowballing lanes.

So while he didn't recive direct nerfs, the meta changes in preseason did hurt alot. And a way more expensive hourglass doesn't help either
