I see so many people hate and complain about Darius.
As a mid player, I rarely encounter him and even when i do, Darius isn't that big of a problem...

he has tons of counter play. he dont do shit out side of lane phase for team fights. slow, gets kitted , easy to cc. just like any other juggernaut

Wolfess3 voteshis Q has a sizeable AD scaling, can still move while casting it, but probably worst of all, he heals a chunk of his missing hp with it... which only gets worse when he gets spirit visage... I'm not entirely sure why he needs the heal there, it's like riot is literally saying "just walk into the middle of the enemy team and heal up like 36% or so of your missing hp every few seconds if you manage to hit a couple of blokes."
his W is an auto reset with like a split second slow... slightly annoying considering his kit revolves around getting 5 bleed stacks.... however i suppose this is tolerable
his E... ugh not only is it a fast enemy displacement but it comes with a BUNCH of FREE ARMOR PENETRATION, WHICH ONLY GETS MORE ANNOYING CONSIDERING THAT HIS BLEED WILL ADD BLACK CLEAVER STACKS, SO EVEN HIM HITTING YOU ONCE WILL MAX THE BLACK CLEAVER STACKS. like.. really why the unholy hell does bleed proc black cleaver stacks now and why does he need so much damn armor penetration... it allows him to kill tanks as well as squishies.
his ult... sigh... adds 20% more damage per stack so it doubles the damage and deals true damage at 5 stacks AND it resets upon a kill and lets him instantly give 5 stacks with one hit if those conditions are met.... basically.... if you ult and kill one poor bastard the rest of their team is going to very likely get face melted...
on top of that he's the typical bruiser, builds one AD item like black cleaver and then tanky, meaning that he's going to soak up a good portion of damage if you focus him, especially if he heals with Q's
BUT!!!
leaving him alive in a teamfight is also a threat because of him getting the 5 stacks and triggering his ult reset.
hell, even illaoi is not that annoying, you can completely just walk out of illaoi ult and she has no hard CC like darius has. she has her test of spirit thing but that only pulls a soul and has a slow, not a full blown area pull and she has to stop to cast Q. She chases with w, but she's displacing herself towards you. Darius hooks you and pulls you towards where his team is, where his team can then CC you with death.

invisiblecat12 votesBest level 1 of all top laners, since he has the ability to heal, deal damage, and deal DoT every 5-10 seconds You can not trade with him if melee, because he will just run away while using his Q, heal up 1/2 the damage, then pull you back in for W and auto attcks and bleed He also has point and click true damage, which is stupid to play against early AND late game And OBVIOUSLY you are rarely going to encounter him mid, he can easily lose to some ranged champions, so playing him top wins you 9/10 lanes

hence they come against a darius and he is a lane bully and does it well ... and they have issue playing vs him and wanna smash their face into him over and over instead of playing around him.
he is a pain to deal with in lane due to his damage out put... for being a melee champ he has a bleed passive that stacks giving him bonus ad, an aoe on Q that heals him that has decent range, a grab if you get in his path and try to get away... free armor pen so stacking armor makes it seems useless and a true damage ult.
part of his big rise was a bug on his bleed stack where if he had 4 stacks on a person and used an ability to get the 5th and that ability hit any one else they automatically got 5 stacks on them to
but he is just like any other juggernaut get in their way they will chunk you... and bully the lane... after they dont do much

AlienPrimate1 votesI have only ever beaten Darius in lane once. That was because I was Aatrox and got a free double kill at level 1 on a failed jungle invade. Every other time I have ever played against him in top lane I have lost lane and probably lost 90% of those games because Darius carried. He is the only reason I stay away from top lane in ranked games.

AlienPrimate1 votesMy issue is that I can't get within half a screen from him or I die. He just flashes on me, autos a couple times, pulls me back to him, autos some more, spins, and I bleed out. There is absolutely nothing that can be done about it. His bleed damage is just too much so now I won't step out of my tower range for anything against him. I don't care if I'm level 3 and he's level 8.
