MIA pings

I asked for a ping directly on my lane when the katarina goes missing. It would be nice if MIA pings on the minimap were always seen. It really would be. But sometimes I miss them. Sometimes. Pinging directly on top of me will save my life and keep katarina in check.

But everyone reacts violently to the suggestion that I need a little more help. no one thinks pinging the way i need to be pinged is acceptable. everyone would prefer to feed katarina and loose the game than send one extra ping where I cant miss it.

Yes. My fault for missing the ping. Who gives a fuck. After the first time I asked, lysandra should have started the pings on top of me. but Katarina got 3 more ganks bot lane and the only pings I got on my lane were sarcastic pings that didn't mean anything.

Honestly.. in low elo if you're pinging and you know that someone is in danger you should be pinging madly until you hit the ping limit.

I know. I ping mia, then yellow ping on the lane that is in danger. Then mia. Then yellow ping. Then mia. Then red ping lol. I don't stop until I can see the midlaner back on the fucking map.

Edit: I ping at a measured pace tho. One per second.

It would take like 3 seconds to move their camera to your lane and put a ping on you. Learn to look at the minimap, it'll save lots of time and prevent lots of deaths.

You can use the minimap to send pings. Does not require camera movement.

I understand your frustration... But if the player is pinging the MIA's, and you're the one dying to the missing champion, it's really your fault. They pinged MIA in their lane or maybe in the river, and you should be watching your minimap at all times for possible ganks anyway.

Personally, I tend to spam ping when my enemy laner is missing so there's no way anyone could miss it. I ping MIA a few times in my own lane, then check to see if anyone on my team is pushed up, and if they are, I ping them to be careful of a gank. However, that's not how everyone plays. As long as they're pinging though, I'd have to say that they're doing what they need to do. Ideally, if they're pinging MIA, they should be either counterganking or pushing up their lane to cause their enemy laner to lose minions, punishing the missing champion for their absence in lane.

If a teammate asks you to do something and you can easily do it, but you don't then you are an asshole. That's your fault and that's all there is to it. Theres no excuse to refuse your teammate. Even if you never do it that way. Teamwork. Cooperation. Hmmm.

It was a bloody bot lane. We were fighting a lot of the time while kat was roaming. I was probably trying to stay safe from Leona sword. Concentrating too hard.

How can you justify this person refusing to adapt to my needs and do what was good for the team? The first time was my fault. The second time was hers. Don't expect my cooperation if I cant get any from you.

No... It takes more effort to find someone on the minimap to ping exactly where they are than it does to just watch the minimap yourself. Your river should be warded, your tri bush as well if you're getting ganked, and you should be aware of everything around you at all times.

It shouldn't matter if you're trying to avoid cc or something, the minimap should be the natural go-to place on your screen at ALL times.

youre trolling right? "it takes more effort to find bot lane than to find a ping on the minimap"? there was no one in lysandras lane except minions. she wasnt in danger. just spamming q to push wave. If she had enough time to ping she had enough time to spam a ping on bot lane itself. Like. Her lane was completely free while kat was gone.

Theres something baseball players do. When the infielder goes for a ground ball, the outfielders run up in case they miss. They dont just sit and pick dandelions and then blame the infielder when the ball takes a bad hop and a routine play turns into a double or an rbi. You back your team up. Thats how to play as a team.

this comment is garbage. it takes more effort to find someone on the minimap than to watch the minimap....well watching the minimap involves finding people on the minimap so this is completely self-contradictory. A task cant possibly be less difficult than any of its sub-tasks.

People have different pinging needs. The most commonly accepted way is twice per message (ex. pingping enemy missing, beat pingping warning wherever) Since the pings have different sounds usually a glance at the minimap for the risidual pings would be enough to convey the message.

Personally I can understand the pings first time round, and it may be the same with most people but it gets aggravating and distracting when someone pings 20 times a second. Even if you mean well from it, most people will interpret it as an act of aggression.

In the future, if you know you have a need for it, verbally make it crystal clear at the start of the actual match that you welcome or may need multiple pings. Something along the lines of "Hey guys, I kinda have a problem noticing pings so if you need to warn me of something, please ping ALOT of times directly on me if you can."

For the most part people will willingly do it if they care about teamwork at all. At least until they forget. Ideally though you'll want to get better at noticing the pings instead of relying on others to conform for you.

I dont necessarily need multiple pings. In most lanes, I do watch for mia pings. But in hook lanes I have a lot of trouble and if you can use a few different pings to be more clear or get attention, then its the right call. Its not the right call to get bitchy about a nicely phrased request.

I didnt say "OMG LYSANDRA PING MY LANE!!!?".

I said, "Hey Lysandra. Can you ping directly on top of my lane when kat roams?".

Lysandra: "Well I pinged mia multiple times.". Ashe: "I know, but it would help if you ping my lane too so I dont miss it". Lysandra: "Thats not the way anyone plays. Its your fault for missing the ping. Stop Blaming other people for your mistakes". Ashe: "Holy shit. Lysandra. Im not blaming you Im just asking for help" Ashe: "Hey shaco can we get a gank?" Assistance ping Olaf: "Report Ashe".

Its not that I was being difficult. I was getting ganked by VI and katarina in a leona lane. I was playing a champion with no escapes with a support that doesnt have real peel potential (blitz). I never tried to blame anyone, but after lysandra said she refused to do pings like I asked I felt like I was on a team of assholes and I didnt really even feel like playing with them. Asking to change the way you ping isnt toxic. Its trying to communicate. Cutting your teammates down when they make mistakes and refusing to cooperate is ABSOLUTLY TOXIC.

If the coach asks you why you didnt back up the shortstop, and you say he should have caught it you get benched because thats a toxic mentality.

When I play draven and I can use my e to save an ally, I dont think "Im the adc, either the support should peel and save that guy or its his fault anyway. Ill just save my e. He might die anyway so whats the point?". Its also not justified to say that I should save the e for something else more useful. Theres nothiing more useful than saving a teammate. If there is a future scenario where you need your e, then your teammate should be able to help you with that if you save them. It would have cost lysandra 0 CS, 0 time, 0 dmg on her tower to ping me the way I needed it. A+ on her for pinging mia. C- on her for adaptation to the circumstance and F for teamwork.

There are a lot of reasons you should ping the area you think mid is going.

Mid can roam anywhere and it doesnt make sense to have everyone back off just because the midlaner is gone. Maybe they are just getting blue. If everyone backs off like they are supposed to, then your team could miss 15+ cs in total and probably waste at least one ward if they ward a bush as well. It makes much more sense to ping the area the midlaner is moving towards so that the jungler and top laner can feel free to pressure or farm. It makes even more sense in bronze where people are prone to tunnel vision.

I often gank the jungler when I play mid. It takes pressure off my bot lane cause most people ping the way lysandra did and Ill just juke that ping. First, Ill run and put a ward at wolves lvls 5-7. Then when I see jungler walking past them at 60% hp, Ill walk up and get easy kills that way. The wolves will even help me get the kill. I also get kills when the toplaner pushes. I can go anywhere. If you see me move bot, you should get the junglers attention if they are on that side and you should get the adc and support's attention.

Theres nothing clearer than pinging mia and alternating with yellow pings on the side of the map the laner is roaming to. It means that you saw them run toward bot lane. Its not any more mechanically difficult. If you can mia, you can mia plus yellow ping on mini map. If you can see an mia ping on the minimap, you can see a ping on your minion wave.
