Lose more LP based on Bad KDA, good idea?

You will not gain LP from this system only lose it. Meaning 14/0/14 you will not gain any extra LP System is for -LP bonus based on trolling. Here how it would work.

+1.5 for kill, +1 for assits. +1.5 for assits and +1 for kills, if your assists double your kills.

-0 per death (1-2 deaths) -1 per death (3-5 deaths) -1.5 per death (6-8 deaths) -2 per death (9-11 deaths) -2.5 per death 12+ deaths

So if champ has 3/9/10 he would have -0, making him lose no LP (so even with bad game u still safe)

Troll champ has 3/13/5 get -23 more league points.

Be very hard to lose points unless you trolling.

People will play smarter, and trolls will get demoted faster.

based on my system he would have to get 7 more deaths with no assists and kills to lose 1 point... this system you can not gain extra LP its only for losing it. And if he afraid of getting 7+ deaths with no assits or kills then he aint gonna go far in ranked anyways.

Kda is a part of the game, but it isn't what all this game has to offer.

Hence kda is just a part of the lp system, but not the fundamental of it.

With your system implemented, tanks and supports (and maybe a few others) would have to be literally godly almost every game to even receive any form of progress, that's bad too.

My system is not for gaining LP, only for -LP bonus.

I can see how this would work, but it can also work against a player.

Example:

If a player is let's say getting camped and being dove under turret for the majority of laning phase, and said player's jungler or other lanes don't bother to try and help out, that player could end up going 1/5/0 by the end of the laning phase.

Then let's assume that because of the poor laning phase, that player falls more and more behind, not being able to pick up any kills and not being fed enough to fight for themselves so they get picked off easily in teamfights and end up with 3/9/4 at the end of the game.

That player could be a very good player, but given the circumstances doesn't have the chance to have an impact on the game.

This could also lead to more players getting the "I'm not going to help you because I want to save my KDA" kind of attitude. Trust me I've had lot's of these types of people so I know they exist. Everyone would be doing their best to killsteal, or trying to run away instead of helping a teammate in any case of danger.

Don't get me wrong, I completely agree with the point that they do need to change the LP/MMR etc system, but I find that this idea has too many flaws in it too to be put into place.

That player would have to learn the basics of warding and going to another lane and leaving his lane if no one wants to help. And KS would not matter as you get points from assists too.

How about cs, wards, objectives, and all the other stuff that matters too?

KDA isn't the only factor in this game.

No one would ever want to play support. (I mean, even compared to how it already is now.)

I thought it's a bad idea but the scaling on deaths and LP penalties makes it not so bad.

Regardless, I don't think it should be implemented because it does kind of feel like an unnecessary punishment for "bad games" and it may encourage further negativity from the player.

For example, I sometimes get 0/4/0 games just because my lane opponent plays super safe while all other lanes lost. My first death was due to 4 man ganking bottom tower, and dived me for the kill before I can recall. By your system I would lose even more LP even though I think I was doing "okay" as I was keeping up farm and harass.

The biggest problem I see is the glaring issue of someone dying to save someone else - Do they save the person that they need alive to keep winning, or do they save their LP in the hopes that this won't be the kill that starts the snowball rolling. As a tank, not every death you take should earn you an assist, and so in an even slightly bad game this system would punish a tank who helped win the game by running interference while the carry farmed for late game.

Beatings will continue until morale improves. Negative feedback loop, they don't want baddies like me to get out of the ELO salt mines of hell. I owe my soul to the company store. I really doubt many of you will even get these references, sigh. Gnar
