"Playing support isn't fun" and why I think it's a lie

Sup, it's me again, your friendly neighborhood cuck. I'm here to tell you why the argument that champions like Soraka and Janna aren't fun.

I play Overwatch sometimes, decent enough game, community is the same as League, has it's ups and downs. I like Widowmaker because I'm a tool and headshots are fun. But what's even more fun to me is Mercy. Healthy or not, old or new, I enjoy her. Maybe it's because I like blondes with sexy accents, maybe I just like flying. But her healing and damage boost is super fun to me. I laugh like an asshole when I heal someone through 900 damage because I keep healing them and they just heal to full five times. It feels great to damage boost someone and just see the kill feed go nuts and during that POTG they have a little icon with my name on their screen. I even enjoy it in League sometimes. If I play support I love Soraka because I heal the shit out of kids and it feels good, to deny a kill because of a clutch heal or shield.

So you can't say "oh playing them is boring" because boring is subjective, it's an opinion. I enjoy playing healers a lot because I'm just laughing my ass off as the enemy gets desperate for a kill. Supports being boring isn't the issue. It's players that just want to see their name and huge damage numbers. And don't tell me it isn't because if players didn't want that I wouldn't have three to four carries per game on average in a team, and people wouldn't be bashing on ADCs saying "You just think the game is about you" because no shit they literally play the CARRY role to be the team superstar.

Supports are not boring, it's just too many players want a gold star and to be praised.

Play support get a terrible adc.

Play support get a decent adc but the enemy gets a diamond 1 Smurf ADC.

Play support get diamond 1 ADC, rage quits because one of your wards is killed or runs out and you didn't teleport to replace it in a time frame he felt was acceptable.

Most support or mages that can be used as supports aren't boring. But that lingering fact that if your adc isn't good your game is very likely a loss as of late. So people use that line as an excuse, plus the young player base all dream of being faker.

As for overwatch supports, they are fun but sucks when no one is watching your flank.

Being dependent on others isn't fun. Hell, people move out of their homes because being dependent on their parents isn't fun.

Your right about Janna though. She is no angel, she is a Cuck-Queen. Rengar: I will kill the enemy Adc. Janna: Nope Fizz: I will ki... Janna: Nope Zed: I... Janna: Nope Vayne(Ally): I'm Gosu Janna: <takes out pegging gear>

1st off as a DPS main in overwatch and an ADC main in League, THANK YOU!!! You guys are what allows me to do what i do, you are the best players to have and the ones that LET ME be the carry of the team. Couldn't do it with out you, you are amazing! [slayer-jinx-catface] But the reason why people dislike support(me included) is because you don't FEEL like your doing anything. You can tell if your a damage dealer because you can SEE you damage. But as a support, you can't see how much your shields or heals have effected the game's outcome. The only support i enjoy is Rakan, I can see a big play that i made to win us a fight, being able to save someone or win a fight single handily feels amazing. But some times I feel useless and feel like i did nothing to help the game. That's what makes support boring to people. or at least that's my take on it. Again you support players are the best, love you!

It isn't fun.

You don't carry games. you get a kill "KS!" "WHY DIDN'T YOU WARD!?" - Have 0 on sightstone since I JUST did. "Ward baron!" -dies- "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" "Go grey screen so I don't die support!" - Haha... No adc... I shouldn't have to die for your mistakes.

Support isn't fun. Not till they make supports CHAMPIONS NOTTTTTTTTTTTT items.

I love supports too. I think one thing that makes it fun is that my duo friend is a nice person who appreciates the support role too.

too team dependent and you get flamed to hell if you don't do a thing at the exact moment you could. also if your adc is awful you're a sitting duck until later.

Support is my favorite role to play. However, it is my least favorite for winning games. I have absolutely no control over lanes if I have an ADC that is too scared to fight or an ADC that needs to calm down and farm. Super difficult to find that happy medium. Just a roll of the dice. It gets SUPER exhausting to play in either of those situations because there is nothing heavier than a bad ADC when you are Janna.

You have to do SO SO SO much on the map at once with a heavy ADC. It will mentally break you after a few games in a row like that. Especially if you are stuck with an Ezreal vs a hyper carry. Since Ezreal has negative wave clear, bot side is always pushing in which allows them to roam and you have to constantly win 4v5 fights (Without an ADC) to win... UGHHHHH

Nobody likes playing support. The fact that it's probably the highest impact role in the game besides the jungle and yet still nobody wants it speaks volumes about riot's competence in design.

I like playing support occasionally. I just dread it because of getting adcs that want to pistol whip the enemy.

Support is actually really fun. I love playing Sona when autofilled support and have since way before she was meta. She's a really kindhearted person, heals, shields, speed-boosts, she pokes, and has a great all-in. My favorite moment on her is to make a huge flash-ulti play, catching several members of the enemy team and exhausting at least one other.

I love playing supports, just because of champions like this: Thresh Blitzcrank Pyke Sion Brand Leona Alistar . I just love playing agressive supports! summoner 4 summoner 14 = <3 [slayer-pantheon-thumbs]

I love support, but every now i like to play trynd top, what im lacking now is experience in matches, which supp counters which.

Although i play taric mainly and hes a great blind pick.

But i will never be a pro like the ones that play zyra or trundle ofc, im silver

Wert the Wacky1/6/2018, 4:08:41 PM1 votes

The true answer is just play support Sion while spamming laugh non stop and infinitely poking with E.

Boredom is a subjective experience and a lot of people find support boring; especially the more passive champions. No-one can tell them to find it interesting. If riot wants the role to be played, they need to make it interesting for more people. And they're trying.

Even as a sup main I keep away from Janna / Raka unless I really feel like it. They feel like the lowest impact supports. Making aggressive plays is so important in lower elos and those ladies just don't do that.

Ha.

no you didn't
