Another season of not playing tanks
I went to a normal game for a warmup before trying to rush to gold for End of season rewards, I don't play the game very much anymore and I stopped playing pretty much anything but TFT (for the beta reward things) so that should tell you how rusty I am.
I Garen-tee (jokes hah) you if I was Garen in that game and stomped a shen in lane. I could've easily carried this game. As a shen I have no damage and I am not tanky at all despite how much physical damage they had.
Garen during our laning phase was 0/2/0. Under me in cs and we had a dragon due to me ulting mid and getting a kill on the hec. TPing to lane after he had some plates and caught up in cs. Another ult later as you can see he barely passes me (but does pass me none the less) in cs.
After a semi-teamfight bot lane we gave up because despite how ahead I was, I couldn't live through the damage at all. Garen, while behind still melted both me and my team while still taking less damage (because reduced damage is better than stats by far)
I am not a pro player nor am I any sort of god in my elo, but in this game I did about as perfect as I could've given the situations of the game. All in vein. Why? Because I chose to play a tank instead of a bruiser or assassin.
It's sad that Tanks went through an entire year of being complete trash because of how absurdly high the damage in this game is.
Normally I pick one champ I like to play then get gold on them by "one tricking" them and normally it's a tank. Last season no matter how hard I tried playing tank I lost. Once I gave up it took me no time at all to reach Plat and I stopped playing the game waiting for the day being a tank actually meant being a tank and not an ult bot that dies in seconds hoping your team made use of that ult.
to name a few, feel awful to play. To have so much gold spent into health/armor/mr only to STILL be completely destroyed in at MOST 5 seconds.
Usually I try to get gold in both flex/solo queue just for myself to have a challenge but I honestly don't think i'm gonna bother this season. As someone who LOVES to play tanks this game is basically impossible to play
