I drew a lot of skepticism from Marksman when I'd hover 
. I didn't play her 10 games, but I did practice her in normals at least 3-4 games prior to diving into ranked with her, and the results showed when I turned skeptics into believers.
People need to be practicing champions before they dive into ranked with them, otherwise they're putting their own team on a crutch already.

Also, mastery means fuck all. I have 80 champs at mastery 5 and would feed my ass off with over 75% of those if I played them.

Mastery points mean you've actually played the champion and have read their kits/have an idea of what items to buy. If you hit mastery 3 you at least have a general idea of what to buy. Instead of having people rush armor to try and defend against a mordekaiser and wonder why his damage isn't going down

then play a normal game and play support to get your auto fill protection then go to ranked.. personally it isnt a problem for me cause im pretty much a full time support now.. but having your auto fill protection helps..

I have said the same thing in the past and people down voted like it was going out of style.. I agree when players say "Who counter (Insert champions name)? someone replies (Insert counter champs name). even if the person has no idea on how to play them to will try them out in ranked..
Id rather see someone who plays 1 trick Nami go Nami top then to see them try and play Illaoi for the 1st time.. at least they know how the champ works and play accordingly. but nah they see a streamer play Lee Sin and wreck people.. so they think they can just pick him up that easy..

Has banning it out from your team once they declared worked out for you. For me personally it just ends up having them troll pick and forcing a dodge only for the same scenario to present itself.
RicoffeeMonster1 votesWon't work because of auto-fill. One thing I definitely used back in the day was the in-client spectator modes to see what the gameplay in the ranks ahead of me looked like. They need that back in the client, along with daily missions that encourage you to spectate ranked games around your level. That'd be nice. Ah yes, and Free-to-Play champions don't give you Mastery when you play them so that's less effective than the game restriction you suggested.
