I agree but sometimes if something is the problem you just need to make the sacrifice to fix it. If you watch pro play and you see skaner picked like 4 people will have a qss but only maybe 1 or 2 people can actually upgrade it into something cost efficient.

His Ult range is kinda small , he will Q or item 3152 then R when he gets in range anyway and for supports , Banshee is overpriced and they can't afford it for how average their items cost

Banshees should have the QSS active built in, it's pretty dumb it doesn't. Make QSS a component of it if necessary. AP champs need better defensive items, all they have is Zhonyas compared to AD champs who have Death's Dance, PD/Shojin/Steraks, GA, Malmortius. It's pretty stupid.

Either way, people should build QSS even if it unfairly builds into no item. QSS alone makes Malzahar worthless, why wouldn't you buy it if he's in game?

People buy Zhonyas to deal with assassins and divers, yet somehow asking them to buy QSS to deal with CC champs is asking too much. It's ridiculous.

Same with Cleanse. Why wouldn't you take it if you're going against a Lux mid or Xerath or Velkoz? It makes a world of difference in trades and all-in's and even team fights. Cleansing a Lux or Morgana binding at a key moment is huge, but people just want the Ignite out of lazy habit.

If I pick a kiting champ top lane, you bet your ass I'm getting exhaust or ghost, especially if the enemy Darius also takes ghost.

they can if its the only reason they are losing. if the only reason morde is winning the game is due to his ult, an item gets rid of the reason hes so strong.

Mages can't really do that unless you are playing something like preworked Ryze or Sylas maybe But mages got a need for every single possible item slot they have If enemy mid laner is Zed or jungler is Kha then item 3157 is a must item 3285 first item item 3020 a must item 3135 item 3165 item 3089 are all a must buy As for supports , they might be able to buy it but later , they can't in early especially that it doesn't really give them enough stats for how much it costs especially enchanters like Soraka , if she rushes it , then her healing will be a joke

That's why Morde ult is going to be a huge balance nightmare

I think u forgot the times during LCS when malz was popular u would see the enemy ap midlaners buy a qss and sit on it. Mages can afford to keep and sit on it no need to be so greedy on the ap.

malzahar is not melee, malzahar can kill you with W+E+R, or he can put you in a huge position trouble with his ult, while morde ult forces you to 1v1, his team can't kill you

Morde as an immobile melee champ will NEVER REACH A MAGE to be able to ult them when they have 1k range and some form of cc And even if he does, they're going to kite him around with low cooldown range and cc until his ult finishes OR that he dies

do you really think morde is going to 1v1 an orianna that farmed her items? jfc

Annie is made of toilet paper, just like Swain. Battlemages ia misnomer for them; they go down faster than a prom dress and that's why nobody plays them mid, because they have less range but no better survivability than the range afforded to other champs who do just as much if not more damage.

Also pretty sure an Irelia or Riven can do the same to that Annie. It sucks being a mage of any kind against juggernauts because they outsustain and outburst you.

Annie is still tankier than some with her flat damage resistance on E, my point was that given the opportunity, Morde can 1v1 mages. And even if you don't kill them you can take a really fed champion out of the game for 7 seconds.

but at least in late game, a late game mage that gets ulted by morde will have no troubles to kill morde before he reaches them

but 2,5sec is zhonyas so if you kite for 4 sec then zhonyas he has 0,5sec before you reappear.

they can get zonyas to cut the 7 seconds down to 4.

it also helps that hes really easy to kite.

and if qss helps doesnt cleanse and mikaels cucible work aswell?

QSS used to not have an upgrade for years and was a universal pick for anybody.

If Morde’s ultimate is giving that much trouble, making it worthless for 1.3k gold isn’t a big sacrifice.

He has extremely low mobility so just run away from him if you survive ult or cc him if you're a mage, all champs have hard counters and morde counters some mages/adcs

Veil also works for his ult, which is fine on mage supports. Morgana E also stops it, the only support who can stop it with an ability.

Came to respond with exactly this, there simply is no other reason for it. QSS needs to not work on Morde, or it should fucking instantly kill Zed if used while he ults, and while he's in your shadow. Either or, honestly, but it not working against Zed then deleting Morde's ultimate entirely is such ridiculous bullshit I can't believe it reached live. I've posted since season one, all the way back on the old boards. This shit has not been there since day one. In fact, they removed a lot of censorship that the new boards had during their beta due to public outcry, and even had to make a new GD sub board to replace the old GD that they butchered in the transition. This was re-added some time after it was removed during that bullshit.

Not at all, it works consistently just like it should. QSS ONLY removes CC, and Zed's ult isn't CC (it's a debuff). Malzahar's ult CC is cancelled, but the damage continues. Mordekaiser's ult counts as CC, which is why it's cancelled.

Yea I guess it's the Malzahar Skarner design problem then. Your ult is OP and lacks counterplay except an item that you just press and that's it. The skills of dodging those ults are insane... New qss montage incoming, insane skills incoming. Stay tuned.

Wish there was a better solution to these cases. Sure, you can wait for them to use qss for another cc or choose death, so there is some level of outplay/counterplay, but it isn't great.
