Jayce is not only the defender of tomorrow, but he should also be the pioneer of tomorrow

In 5.11 Jayce no longer has to put points into his ultimate, instead having 6 points in his 3 abilities.

My immediate thought was how revolutionary this would be on Elise and Nidalee. All 3 champions have a few things in common.

  • They have ultimate available at level 1
  • Their ultimate is a transform
  • They have a melee and a ranged form, each with their advantages
  • All three practically have no passive (Elise has little spiders, Nidalee has her hunt, and Jayce has... I have no clue)

Back in 4.10 Riot also changed Nidalee, having her ultimate at level 1, instead of level 6 (to have consistency with Jayce and Elise). So once again, for consistency, why not have Nidalee and Elise have 6 points in their 3 basic abilities, and no points in their ultimate.

This could actually help Elise out, so she might get some play again. And if it buffs Nidalee up too much, she could also get toned back down.

Thoughts?

The 4.10 change to Nidalee was not for consistency with other form changing champions, but rather to make it so her laning phase wasn't just "dodge spears" and to make her Cougar form more important to the champion overall.

While Elise could easily get the Jayce treatment, Nidalee should not because unlike Jayce and Elise, Nidalee gets noticable power spikes from putting points into her ultimate because all her cougar form abilities scale with rank in ult, not in the abilities themselves.
