Your MMR and LP Gain/Loss during a game should be adjusted based on your letter grade @ game end.

When i have a killer game, and wind up with an S+ .. I know I performed really, really well. Why can't I get a slightly bigger reward out of it?

Alternatively, when I've drank too much and feed the Draven in bot lane 5 kills before the teamfighting even starts... and I basically lose the game for my team.. I should be punished slightly more for my terrible decision making!

I don't want these to be big adjustments, very small.. like.. 10% at MOST? just a little something extra to help personal performance actually have an impact on rating.

What do you think?

No, it encourages selfish play over trying to win as a team. "Who cares if we win as a team. I will just focus on KDA and farming all game."

Fair point, but I think your ultimately going to lose more games if you play selfishly. You must trust your teammates and play with them.

yeah that is sure going to do anyone any good, when people are quick to point fingers and blame everyone but oneself "trusting your teammates" is sure going to be something that will come naturally

As a game moves forward, you start learning who you can trust and who you can't. It's part of the magic of a league game!

I think your missing my bigger point though, I mean.. We've all had the top that ignores objectives and teamfights and just shoves his lane. This is selfish playing and can lose games.

and? i think YOU are missing the point. Something like this is added and people will want to just pad their KDA and as soon as things start losing then no one is going to want to actually risk lowering their grade just so they might be able to win. You should only have one focus on the game and that's winning. Adding unnecessary things is just going to make people want to min/max their LP gains since that's what EVERYONE does. Even at high elo there are people who will blame EVERYTHING except themselves you just have to watch some high elo games and you will see people blaming each other for dumb shit

Or it can win games. Different playstyles can all be effective. The beauty of a win/loss system is that it controls for this perfectly. If you do something right and it helps you win more often than it helps you lose, then you're rewarded as much as everyone else. As soon as we pull the imperfect champion mastery ranking system into it, we start rewarding people for specific playstyles over others, even if they are both equally capable of leading to wins. It's unfair, and should not be part of the system.
