Morello+Zhonya's is 30%, and multiple others give access to 10%.

Athene's and Ardent are support items. Lich Bane is for AP bruisers/divers or if your name is Ziggs. Abyssal is for AP tanks or AP assassins.
So mages only got a total of 4.

EcchiOtakuTM1 votesNo abyssal mask can be built as a substitute for certain RoA users or mages who feel they have more than enough reliable damage like malz/brand/veigar/swain, because they has more than enough damage/ % hp damage to get a bit tankier.
Not saying all mages can use it's passive like them, but it's usually just barely enough in range for those said mages to get use.

AP Mages are mainly ability reliant. AD champs are not as ability reliant. To make AP Mages balanced, we make CDR for AP items scarce. We can afford to make CDR available for AD champs since they're not ability reliant.
As a result, quirky champions like full on AD casters benefit hugely from this.

Erh... none of those have CC... except Jhin's conditional and single target (most mage stuff is AoE). At high range Xayah's E is easy to dodge.

both are bursty champs who specialize at killing 1 target and in theory should be countered by Tanks and Juggs right ?
but i prefer to be a full build when i get caught by a Tank/Jugg and fuk him up easily while sustaining all the damage he does to me instead of being a full build and cry as the Tank/jugg fuk me up after shrugging off my R cuz i cant sustain his damage and my autos do 0 damage.

The problem is a tank will never be able to even get in range of a Lux/Orianna/Ziggs/Xerath. You can out stat check assassins (have a chance, especially with things like Cho) but you can't even touch mages
JackMcSnipeyz1 votesTrinity is situational, black cleaver is for bruisers, essance only works if you stack it with crit and it's still only 30% max. You'll never see all these items built on the same champ, meanwhile AP items with cdr synergize together regardless if you want the CD or not
