ok I am changing sides now.
I remained very neutral until now concerning the whole SoloQ VS DynQ battle.
I always had a little thing for DynQ because I love playing with my friends mostly, and DuoQ did not offer me that option. Plus, I really love the fact that you can get your roles prior to Queuing.
I saw alot of people complaining about being soloQ players stranded in DynQ, and how that really made it harder for them to climb.
They claim this because they think they get matched vs unfair groups that have communication and use organised teamplay rather than being on a solo level as they are. I usually brushed these claims off when reading the boards.
Last season I finished as Gold 5, and wasn't all that much into ranks. I think I played around 500 games in ranks.
This season I got placed in Bronze 1. Plowing through Silver took me about 2 weeks, And now I reached gold 4 last night. I'm already at 266 ranked games.
I think I played as many games getting from Gold 5 to 4 as I did to get Silver 5 to Gold... It could be that I'm in the division I deserve to be, as my win rate pummeled from a whopping 63% to exactly 50%. But I noticed how much I get dove. I feel like since I got back in Gold, people seem to be so much more organised and coordinated... Fact is, I was playing solo last night, and I truely felt like I was matched vs 4-man premades that organised their dives so well there was no way out really once I realised how fucked I was..
I don't know, maybe I'm just on tilt from the loss streak but days like that make me wish I had friends with me at all times to play, and maybe that is the issue. Maybe it would be a good idea to have seperate ratings for solo and group oriented players.
Why can't we just have DynQ with a max of 3 people premade, and 5s allowing teams to use a pub slot?
Or simply a SoloQ/ Duo Q, and a DynQ for groups of 3 or more... It would only make so much sense to me anyway..
Thoughts? Tips? Cake?
