So early in the pre-season Riot made this adjustment to the promotion series where if you were in Silver 2 for example but got demoted to Silver 3, you would only need to win 1 game to get back to Silver 2.. So my question is, If i went from G1 to S1 due to the "soft" reset, does this rule apply still? Or is it only for what you have accomplished in current season? :) anyone know?!
Korillo1 votesIt only applies if you failed a promotion and then get back to that same promotion. You get granted 1 win for gold 2 promotions and lower. So no it would not apply to you unless you got to your gold 5 promotion games and lost, then returned to the gold 5 promotion games. Although you'd have to win 2 games, not 3 as tier promotions are a best of 5 series.
