Move speed has a soft cap, and Kalista can outrun a ramous with a 165% MS buff (yes power ball goes that fast).

Its range scales off of how high her MS is, and is increased by an extra 25% when dashing away. Also, she can dash as fast as she can attack, which means about twice a second on an attack speed build.

Wow, as if Zilean wasn't already the most cancer champion in the entire League.

EDIT: I see they lowered the duration of Chronoshift's activation window fro 7 to 5 seconds. That really makes me happy. Was tired of Zilean ulting people and giving them all that time to get away, because if you kill them they just come back with more HP anyway.

I think the 99% movement speed thing is somewhat a nerf to the spell. Remember that movement speed boosts have diminishing returns after certain caps are reached. It might (and probably will) turn out that 55% movement speed for 5 seconds > 99% movement speed for 2.5 seconds. But I dunno. We should probably wait for video material before making assumptions :P

it'll probably round off to around a 70% bonus if you were looking at it after the soft cap, so a pretty big amount, but the soft cap makes it not nearly as OP as some people might think. If you want a comparison, look at Kennen, he has a 100% MS boost (alms the same value) and that usually puts him in the mid 600s.

I would rather have rewind work on chronoshift than a 60 second chronoshift, at 40% CDR he can use it every 36 seconds that's way beyond toxic.

With 40% CDR and spamming Rewind you get Chronoshift to 28 seconds on live so its actually an 8 second nerf

Considering that I, and probably most other people, occationally missed to spam rewind every single time it's off cooldown. It may actually come out even, without needing to diverting your attention to it.

Eh, I still think penetration in general is probably wasted on him. You want to rush 40% CDR and Mana items and then get as much AP as humanly possible for massive heals on your R.

It still slows for less overall than his current perma-slow, so I think that's actually an improvement. My main issue with the Zilean rework is that it kept his passive, which carries little gameplay or appreciable power, and kept Rewind as an active ability when it would easily be turned into a passive, and open up an active slot for something that would enable him to do more things for his allies and enemies. Choosing which basic ability to focus on double-casting (QWQ immediately for the double-bomb, or casting QE then Rewinding for more overall utility) is already a big decision point, so having the ability to cast a basic ability off cooldown every few seconds as a passive would make sense, especially now that Rewind no longer affects Zilean's ult. Even now that decoupling Rewind from Chronoshift's cooldown makes spamming W no longer mandatory, using it is pretty much a no-brainer (When would you not want to use all of the abilities you just casted?), and it would be healthier for Zilean to have another source of damage besides his Q, since he's still going to follow his current pattern where his damage ramps up super-hard all the way up to level 9, then just stops progressing.

I think Riot wants that to happen tho, they want Zilean to not be a consistent damage and poking threat.

He throws bombs at you and thats it. He also spams his Rewind and constantly slows enemies and speeds up allies and is nearly impossible to win teamfights against because he can just save an important teammate. Thats his nice and thats what they want him to do.

If they moved his w to his passive it would take away a lot of his power from his E and his R, considering they would probably add a second way to deal damage. They would probably also have to drastically nerf his Q.

I don't think it has to necessarily involve a nerf, though perhaps his Q could afford to have a bit more damage shaved off and placed elsewhere. His current passive is one of those effects that are massively powerful, even if it's not too easy to see its power, so removing it and adding a more toned-down version of Rewind (e.g. only getting to double-cast a single basic ability on a static cooldown) would "swap" out a lot of power that could then be turned into a strong new W. Lobbing bombs and resurrecting people is definitely part of Zilean's niche, and while he's going to be better at that I still think he's going to have some serious power progression problems. As a mage and a support, he's meant to be all about expressing power over his team and his opponents, yet Rewind is one of the most selfish abilities out there, as it affects only him, and is one of the reasons so far why he's felt lackluster in both roles. It does sort of give him more damage and utility by enabling his other actives, but I think it would be better for him to have a proper mage/support kit and a passive that would allow him to choose which bit of damage/utility to use on cooldown.

So what you're saying is take away some skills that make Zilean unique and turn him into the cut and paste Nami/Lulu/Morgana etc who have very straightforward, very classic mage kits?

No, quite the opposite. I want to keep Rewind and still keep Zilean's ability to manipulate cooldowns like nobody else, I just think it would be better as a passive than an active ability, and instead give him an extra active. If there's one thing I don't like on Zilean's kit, it's his bonus experience passive aura, and if he could have another time-based ability instead of that, I'd be all for it.

Seems pointless to try and be a tank as him. He has really low base stats, really low stat growth and no natural mitigation or steroids of any kind. Your Q, your only source of damage, will deal almost nothing without AP. It has 80% AP scaling for a reason.

Also, your R will not be that useful without AP since the amount of health they gain upon revival scales with your AP. You want to give your carries and important people full health heals right?
