Can we just go back to smite only being for minions and monsters

Please Riot, it has only caused trouble all season. So many champions have been gutted because of the upgraded smites.

If we got Season 4 Smite back (40 sec CD, can be used on small jungle creeps in addition to the large creeps and minions, doesn't get random ass upgrades from items, smiting restores HP and Mana), there would be so many less issues. Think of how many patches have occurred just because the smites. Top laners taking Cinderhulk and Challenging Smite wouldn't be an issue anymore, since going Cinderhulk would still require smite and now you can't have the enemy do 20% less damage.

So what items would replace the current ones?

Enchantments would basically become Tier 3 items. The tier 1 item would be Machete, obviously. Tier 2 items would be something kind of like Spirit stone (or perhaps make new items to replace in the Tier 3 paths such as replacing Brutalizer).

I just want a simpler time where you never had to worry about smiting during a gank and not having it for almost 70 seconds so you can't do dragon. And people can't walk into the dragon so it smites them instead of Dragon because the targeting system is retarded. Seriously, that is the most infuriating thing ever. I get flamed because I "missed smite" when in actuality the game thought it should target the enemy champion instead of the Dragon.

I love the new jungle and all, but seriously I just want only smite back. It's so dumb that a summoner spell that was designed just to be used on monsters and minions is now being used on champions more often than not. Even in the spell book it says " Smite: (Summoner Level: 10) Supported modes: Classic, Tutorial. Deals 390-1000 true damage (depending on champion level) to target_ epic or large monster or enemy minion_.

Really interesting how after 5 months it still doesn't mention that it is primarily used to reduce enemy champion spells or steal move speed. Because people rarely even use it to smite camps anymore.

If anything at least let me smite the small jungle creatures. There's no reason why you shouldn't be able to. If I want to smite a small one that's my decision Rito.
