Another "Matchmaking is completely broken"-Thread

I play this game since years and i know other season starts. It was never THAT bad! I don't know what they were trying to do this time but the fucked up. The algorithm is complete trash rn!

I have Smurfs against players on losing streak and negative winrate in 80% of my games.

Here just ONE example from my Dia Promos: I was climbing pretty well, had a big winstreak. No Trolls (suprisingly). Then i hit Promos and ofc i get a botlane with negative winrate (45%) + trolling Ezrael (literally trolling). Lost ofc. The next 2 games i managed to win. So just ONE more win and i am Dia right? WRONG!

Guess who won this. A Lee Smurf in enemy team and an unranked Fizz with 0% winrate + a botlane with negative winrate in my Team.

I dont even blame that Fizz. Its not his fault that Riot messed up with this matchmaking. Fizz feeded pretty hard and was soon on something like 3:10 and enemy Lee (hardcore fed) shredded everything and all our towers. No one in our team flamed and we fought like bears. In the end Fizz could make a lot of kills, but it was already too late. We lost Inhibs and Drakes and Baron so we sadly lost this. It just WASNT winnable because teams were so uneven!

In the end i lost my last game too (this time we just played bad). This is just one example from dozens! The amount of unbalanced games this season is INSANE!

Fizz was a bought account, For 3 seasons the account is an adc main, then this season not a single adc game and 9/9 losses or something

Last season i finished silver 3 because that was my first season and i wasn't very good... so i got bronze 3 immediately. Did the provisionals, won 6/10, got bronze 1. Aced through bronze 1 with 82% winrate. aced through silver 4 with 92 winrate with bard, got to provisionals for silver 3... And guess what happened next.. My entire team was hard feeding 0/10 every game. huge loss streak, dropped back to silver 4 30 lp and stopped.

I'm gonna play some more this weekend to see what's gonna happen. Dropped from 92 winrate with provisonals to silver 3 to s4 30 lp with 56% winrate.

idk... i dont think there is anyone out there who know more about Voli builds than me, because i spend at least 10 hours per week on Lolalytics checking Item- and Rune-stats from Voli in all Elos and Patches. I follow best Volis world and check their playstyle and builds.

if you talking about that Warmogs as second item: I tried this out today. Actually Warmogs winrate get better and it get picked more often the higher you go in Elo. Normally I build this as third item, but I have seen that some Master Volis build this as second item, so I wanted to check it out.

I think best build for Voli is...

starting with this: item 1401 item 3800 or this item 1401 item 3742

and then follow up with something from these: item 3083 item 3053 item 3065

if you are way ahead or just want damage, you can add one of these: item 3078 item 3161 item 3748

and for special situations like high auto AD or specific champs in enemy team or if u just wanna support a fed teammate: item 3075 item 3110 item 3194 item 3109

ltwazer is a good voli main to copy for shit, i have also pretty much always gone for the item 1401 item 3742 item 3111 item 3053 unless they have strong ap. warmogs second is usually horrible despite the stats being good, it offers shit all for utility and you won't have the passive straight away either. going tiamat first isn't bad either if there aren't a lot of people on the enemy team able to burst you.

Yeah I know him. I watch his replays regularly :D But I think this lllllllllllllllllll dude from EUW ist also good. He isn't Grandmaster but keep in mind that EUW is harder than US.

Yeah with Warmogs second was just a test. Mostly you haven't even the 3k HP already. Also I don't know where Lolalytics took this data from because don't know any Master Volis who build it second. But as 3rd or 4th item it's pretty nice. I didn't build it much, either. But some weeks ago I found out that I climbed pretty well with it. The other thing is, when I build DMP instead of Righteous Glory i miss this awesome gap closer where u can decide games in endgame. But i can understand why LtWazer doesn't build it. I guess in high Elo it isn't THAT good anymore because people can outplay it better. Also if you don't play with Aftershock you need more Armor and RG has just 30. But therefore LtWazer makes his plays with HexFlash. But before i try that I want to get Dia and than i will practice it. Until there RG is good enough for me.

But one thing I don't understand. He builds item 1039 first, even when he starts blue. That makes no sense.

@ Tiamat. Yeah this is a thing I don't understand. Titanic Hydra has pretty decent stats on Voli but the higher you go in Elo, the less they build it. And no one of the top Volis (in jungle) build Titanic Hydra EVER. Building Tiamat and Hydra seems to be just a low Elo thing but I don't know why. It always bothered me.

I mean the item build thing on lolalytics is bugged, at least I'm pretty sure it is from what I've seen. I mean going righteous second is probably still good, sirberlinstyle or now sirnordseestyle still does his weird shenanigans with it and his probably still considered the best voli world despite some new people showing up.

I'm pretty sure titanic hydra is fucking horrible on voli but tiamat in it self doesn't seem too bad especially when there isn't much to gank, of course voli is all about counter ganks anyways but in certain matchups its still a decent choice for the early game.

Why do you think Voli is predestined for counterganking (more than others)? And why you think Hydra is horrible for him?

I don't want to contradict, I am just curious.

i mean for low elo you just walk up behind people and they die but around high plat low dia is where that strategy starts to fail, when i tried to get dia with voli that's around where i got stuck (to be fair this was pre mini rework so voli was quite a bit worse) and had to change my playstyle to mostly counter ganking / bush camping for the enemy jungler to get past. of course this probably isn't the only way to do it but its what worked for me.

And why you think Hydra is horrible for him?

voli is an early / mid game champion and hydra is quite bad at both early and mid game while being expensive as fuck to buy, also around the time you'd complete hydra you're deleting everything anyways so the extra damage doesn't really do that much for you. in theory it would be good late game but at that point you're pretty much just a peel bot for your adc anyways unless you have flash up.

Why do you think the matchmaking disfavours you? Obviously, it couldn't be that everyone has worse teammates than opponents on avarage (mathematically speaking). Isn't it a better explanation that you are biased in appreciating your performance and inclined to think your team loses because of your allies rather than yourself becuase you would dislike assuming losses?
