I always feel so weak in mid lane

Could someone send me some advice?

I usually don't like playing mid lane because I always feel so weak in mid. I feel like I don't do any real damage, whereas other players in mid don't seem to have this problem. Of course I'm talking about the first few minutes before getting rod. Farming is also so difficult, making it even harder to get a damage item....

You didn't even say what champ you're playing lol. Can't give advice without a champ!

Depends on champion. Annie is fine building ROA on due to making her tanky and she ahs decent damage while going it. Other then cho gath who has ok damage i don't really build roa on mid laners. So without knowing who you play it is hard to give advice.

Yea, that is why I have no clue what OP is even talking about lol. His post was very very poorly done, especially for one asking for advice.

You either A. buy smaller items for gradual increase to hold you over for big buy or B. buy big and do shittty ish type base damage early till needless then bam power spike bois.

I don't play a lot of heavy AP champs anymore just cuz of these damn tanks.

My go to picks are anivia and Diana which feel extremely weak in lane phase till I get my skills leveled up

Typically lack of damage is due to you missing a part of your combo or just not hitting your power spike yet. Most if not all mid laners each have unqiue power spikes throughout the game dependent on levels and items (the most obvious being lvl 6 for most mids). Completing combos is also very important in ensuring you deal your max damage, playing as a zed for example shadowing into an enemy then AA+E, Q, AA would be a strong combo for you as typically that combo will also weaken them enough to proc your passive on the last AA, however missing the Q for example in your combo would in most cases let them keep enough health early on to stay above 50% making so your final AA doesn't proc your passive. Missing that one part of your combo indirectly makes you lose even more damage than the damage missed from the Q alone. This is only an example for one scenario though, with the information you provided this is the best I could think of for answering your question until your provide better examples (situations, time, champion). You're welcome to add me in game if you want to play a game and show me what it is you're referring to?

Mid is the most intensive skill dependent role in the game, practice and it will improve as your skillz and game knowledge improves. You fail at mid because you are bad. Which champions do you play in mid lane? I can give you some tips.
