People say Lee Sin is strong and needs nerfs
Lee Sin isn't really strong. He is a very safe play-maker. Riot could nerf Lee Sin all they want and I don't think it will really matter. His kit has so much to it that he will always be a safe pick. Even if his numbers were nerfed he can still
- Ward hop/Q to engage/escape/chase
- sustain with shield and LS/SV
- Make a pick or peel with his ult
- % damage Q
- Manaless
Whereas with other junglers, if Riot nerfs their numbers, they disappear for a couple months or more (Zac...). Lee has a less than 50% win rate but he is still frustrating to play against because he is so safe on top of his decent offensive strength. I dread the day that Riot nerfs J4 and Rek'sai because it will just mean more Lee sins in solo queue because they are the only junglers that are strong and bring as much to the team as Lee. Sure you can ban him but then both teams will be stuck with subpar jungle champions. I wish Riot would buff champions to J4 and Rek'sai's level so that even more champions are more appealing than Lee sin rather than nerf them.
You can argue that J4 and Rek'sai (maybe Rengar, Kha) are stronger than Lee but they also have much greater weaknesses to capitalize on which makes them riskier picks and much weaker if nerfed. If those four were to make a bad call and jump into a bad situation they would have no real way to get out. If Lee flubs he can ult you away and ward hop to safety. J4 and Kha have mana restrictions so you can catch them with no real means to fight back or escape. Rengar needs stacks (much more forethought needed when playing) and if he misses his stacked bola he immediately becomes useless. Rek'sai is all damage with a single AoE knock up. No built in mid fight sustain. No built in tankiness. If she misses her knock up she dies.
Lee will always seem strong unless Riot nerfs him with the intent of him being unplayable.
