Cowsep gave up playing yi
Wow thats fuckin depressing.
The dude has to stop playing a champion that he mained for years because he doesn't want to be a liability for his team...

Say thanks to the Silver kids who kept crying to Riot for nerfs to perfectly balanced champions and items.
no the items were not balanced. yi is still a 1v1 monster but now he can't go 1v5 XD because he can't build 3 damage items and go tank. which is what it meant to be the problem is that the new jg item is too damn weak
Yi could never 1v5 vs any decent team.
If the items were op you would see them at the LCS or other competitive play. People there play for money and only pick the most broken stuff. How many Devourer junglers did you see there outside of Kindred? 0.
Yi was one of the most banned champions in most elos. But yep totally the silver players fault

Lol, dafuq? Yi has never been a priority ban above gold and definately not in diamond+, especially after his nerfs. And he's never been a priority ban in Korea.
Seriously, I hate pulling rank but some of the stuff your bronzers spout is just complete jibberish.
there was a Riot post back when they started nerfing him stating that he was actually. and why does it matter if hes not banned in korea. Koreans are not the only region Riot balances around
Playing anything except Ekko is a liability.
But Yi has always been a liability for his team
Wow, you are complaining about a champion that is still strong actually needing a little skill to win with now.

43% winrate
The 6.9 stats just updated. It's around 46% so far this patch. Which is deceiving since literally 50% of the people who have played Jax have 15 or less games played on him. So of course his win rate is going to look awful. This is the thing you don't understand.

Dafuq? Avarage Jax player 50 games on him in plat +.
http://champion.gg/champion/Jax/Top
http://champion.gg/champion/Trundle
Far less experienced playerbase, far better winrate while having an arguably slightly harder to execute kit.
http://champion.gg/champion/Ekko
Playerbase has not even half the ammount of games Jax players have on avarage, yet has a nearly 10 point higher winrate.
http://champion.gg/champion/Garen/Top
Sports similarly experienced playerbase and mechanical difficulty, can arguably be considered slightly easier to play, has considerably better winrare.
I assume you can see where I am going with this.
Alot of champions have over 50% of players avaraging less than 15 games, without having scewered winrates, so that's just a non argument.
Jax was in a weak spot before 6.9, now he's just straight garbage, but haters will always find a reason to keep him down.
For ducks sake, even at full build he barely just scales into avarageness while having winrate dips all the way to the 40 minute mark, not even when he's fully built does he get to shine, so much for a "hyperscaling carry" fighter.
You are not understanding the underlining influences.
-Average games played is skewed by the number of players who have over 125 games on him. Like I said, half the Jax players right now don't know how to play him and this brings the win rate down. Zed for example is stupidly broken for people who main him, but 70% of the people who play him are under 50% win rate. -Trundle is a decent comparison, but he has a much better early game since he has better sustain. -Ekko is insanely safe to play and is definitely OP right now, you can't compare him to Jax at all. -Garen is super easy to play, that's why he's a starter champion. Plus he never really has a weak phase all game. -A lot of champs are broken OP right now and anyone can win on them. Jax doesn't need buffed, they need nerfed. -Jax was not weak at all pre-6.9, he was a monster with Devourer. We will have to see how the new item pans out over the next months since players have to adjust to it. -Saying that Jax scales to average absolutely blows my mind. It honestly makes me think you don't even play this game. A competent six item Jax can 1v5 teams.

His winrate peaks at 52% at 40 minutes, hardly as extreme as what you would expect from a "hyperscaler", what's so mindblowing about that? How about we compare it to a proper hyperscaler:
is at 55% at 40 minutes, while having powercurve that actually is logical for a hypercarry.
Even if you do manage to reach a full build on Jax which just isn't likely the ways games generally goes this season, you aren't really all that much more powerful than the avarage champ anyway, ergo, scales from garbage into avarageness.
You don't even adress the most relevant comparision that all of those champs I listed have similar if not less experienced playerbase than Jax yet enjoy far higher winrates. Is Ekko OP? Duh. Doesn't mean Jax is even remotely balanced.
Also, Trundle has not even 3% players with 125+ games on him, Jax has almost 4 times his number, while having more experience players at pretty much all stages, so if Jax isn't weak, why does his winrate suck so much?
They all enjoy toplaner status, what would you compare a toplaner to if not to other toplaners?
Yeah, Jax can 1v5 a teams if he miraculously get's fed, which is quite an accomplishment considering how weak he is pre 35-40 minutes AND only if it's members are stupid enough to fight him one at a time, but come on, how many champs can't do that? Shyvana can, Darius can, Yi can, Vayne can, Xin can, Diana can, Fizz can, Tryndamere can, Kalista can, just to name a few, so what's your point?
He still can't fight any carry that has a support there to peel for them, unless he's massively fed, which is fine, but don't overexagarate his power. He might work like that in bronze, but as soon as you get above silver, people are smart enough to not try to duel a fed Jax.
While Jax isn't OP, it's just pure ignorance to say he isn't strong. Of the tops you mentioned, Jax can win solo engages against Shyv, Yi, Xin, and Trynd pretty much anytime unless they have a significant lead over him. He can solo pretty much anyone and he is hard to escape due to the gap closer and stun.
I just can't believe you don't think Jax is a hyper carry late game at full build.

He's an average/bad teamfighter which makes him not so great lategame. If 1v1ing potential was defining of your strength lategame, Nasus/Jax/Tryndamere etc. would be toptier picks in high elo and competitive. They aren't.
He's a split pushing god. You have to send 2-3 people to stop him which opens up the rest of the map for your team. In teamfights, he can still be huge since he can stun multiple people and if the enemy team doesn't focus them, he cleans house.

Pure ignorance? Honestly? Haha, who do you think you are? I can without a doubt tell you who you're not. But no need to be rude. ;)
So?
All of them can beat Jax as well without having a significant lead over him.
I know this for a fact because I've done it countless times, all you have to do is bait out the counterstrike, you can dodge it with trynds E and re-engage with his mocking shout, you can swipe him away with Xins ult and re-engage with his E. You can use the burst speed from Shyvanas W to walk out of it and re-engage after, or simply just re-engage in your dragon form, you can dodge it with Yi's Alphastrike and just butcher him afterward.
IT'S CALLED OUTPLAYING, HAVE YOU EVER HEARD ABOUT IT?
Pfff...
Or do you literally play at a level where everybody just statcheck each other to death? Because that is literally how it seems based of your arguments.
I also notice you conviniently left Darius out of the bunch of toplaners I mentioned.
Hypercarrying implies practically winning the game by reaching full build, you know, the way a Vayne who's fully built will be 3shotting squishies and 6shotting tanks in split seconds while being just about unstoppable unless they get caught, that's hypercarrying. Like a full build Twitch melting your entire team in a matter of seconds from nearly 1k range with nothing more than autos, that's hypercarrying.
If a champion is barely winning more than avarage when at his maximum potential, or having a proper hypercarrying impact when at 40 minutes into the game and fully built, can he truely be implied to be a hypercarry? If a champion needs to be ahead on items and levels to be effective in his role, can he truely be called a hypercarry? Isn't he simply just snowballing reliant then?
Regardless, I have a feeling I'm just wasting my time trying to explain this to you as I have done it already and you fail to comprehend since your own personal opinions trumps stats and data and nothing else matters, so whatever.
Good day to you.
It sounds like you face some pretty bad Jax players. The champions I mentioned are AA based and Jax does VERY well against AA champs. The strategies you mentioned will work early before he has some items, but (unless they build up a good lead) he will stomp them late game. I know this because I can do it with Jax and I don't play him that often. I had to laugh at your outplay statement since Jax can outplay them easier than they can him.
I did leave Darius out of the list because he should have a HUGE lead over Jax early and mid game if he is competent at all. Jax and go 0/10 in the game and still wreck face once he has his items. He is one of the very few champs that can hit max attack speed during a fight.
Plus I can't remember the last time there wasn't a surrender at 20 by the other team if Jax gets ahead early, since everyone knows the games over at that point.
I think you just have sour grapes since Jax isn't as OP as he used to be.

Jax has a distinct winrate advantage against 3 champions in this game, those are Renekton, Master Yi and Udyr. The rest of the matchups are either skill based matchups, losing matchups, or extreme losing matchups (and those are quite a few now). so I have no idea wat the fuck you are talking about.
http://champion.gg/champion/Jax/Top (I ask myself why I even bother to keep posting this as I know you will cherry pick info and take it out of context regardless)
Another news flash, just because a certain champion can outduel another champion doesn't mean said champion is better than them at every other aspect of the game. Just because you can beat some other 0 skill bronzers with Jax does not mean he's viable at higher elos and last I checked, being balanced for bronze is not a priority cause any champ played well there will seem OP.
51.5% winrate (it has actually been dropping since last champion.gg update, surprise surprise) when being allowed to reach endgame build and you still claim he wrecks face, well you know what? Maybe you're right, maybe Jax does wreck face, in BRONZE MAYBE. Clearly he will wreck face in a elo where base mechanics are king and people can't play for shit. So yeah, I guess you're right.
Thankfully Riot doesn't give two shits about your opinions regarding balance so I'll patiently be awaiting my Jax buffs. Until then, stay typically bronze.
Well I just looked at your stats. Jax is your second most played champ and you are 62-45 with him. Your very own stats prove me right and you wrong! That's a 58% win rate. Just as I suspected all along, you are just another forum troll.
Wow, I never thought anything would get Cowsep-senpai to not play Yi other than Yi getting banned out, which practically never happend on Korean servers unless he got sniped because unlike EU/NA, Koreans actually understand how to use a champs weaknessess against them.
What a sad day.
Good. Not gonna miss Yi
Then he's not a real Yi main. Real mains play their champions even when they're shit. After Akali got roflstomped by the nerf bat and shot down to around a 43% winrate for 6 patches straight I never stopped playing her. Yi has been bad for 1 patch and he's already quit lol.

Being an irelia main in season 3 I will never forget the pain of that season. Irelia carries U, Ralik and I were among the only irelia mains left after the preseason 3 purge of trinity and wit's end who were common posters on the boards.
Same lol. http://www.lolking.net/summoner/na/39056360#ranked-stats
I played Irelia religiously for a while during Season 3 but then I got bored of her and moved back to playing Akali. Jax was my first main when I first started playing so I had a lot of ranked games with him as well. Then I dropped her almost completely for a while for Akali and now I'm back to playing her again. Ecks dee

You also don't play in an elo high enough for the champion you pick to matter nearly as much. Neither do I. We both are privileged enough to be able to play and succeed with our mains despite them being bad. I'm still going to play Yi.
Cowsep however is high diamond in Korea, the best region in the world, and he's a streamer. Streamer viewers want to see the person streaming climb (at least that is what I've gathered from what I've seen). To climb, he needs to play someone who isn't Yi.
Hopefully Riot looks at Yi and gives him something to make him more viable.

If Korea is the best in the world, why is their best team being shit on at MSI right now, and most people regularly beat their members in battles + most people regularly hit similar mmrs on their servers?
That joke of a claim has been false for a long time now.
About the only thing that rings true in this entire paragraph is that Yi sucks at the moment.
He was playing Yi yesterday though
Oh boo hoo, he has to spend a patch expanding his champion pool.
This isn't an Olafing. Meddler's already clearly stated they're looking at Yi.
I think Koreans thought Cowsep was the "Hopefully we don't lose early because he afks in jungle until he gets big enough then we might win" guy, but I'm not too sure about that...
Who?
