Oh talon just all ind me at lv 2
Remember when they nerfed katarina twice for being able to do that. Ecks fucking deeeeeeeeeeeee

Did you know Talon is responsible for 25% of first bloods?
Does Kat scale better than Talon in teamfights because her ultimate can affect an entire team while Talon's just makes one poor motherfucker not play League of Legends?

this comment gives me a reason to wake up in the morning but to be fair talon's ult can affect entire teams if he uses it in the right spot instead of just "r-flash-q enemy carry hehe xd"
Still, it's only going to deal 200 damage or so.

, two champions that might lose games often, but will ensure someone on the enemy team is sitting at a grey screen for 30 minutes...

Talon's late game is a lot better imo.
Nope lol
Talon's late game strategy is to never get there.
Last time I checked it only affected three people.
Simple counter to that.
Don't get in range to be hit twice with w.

probably he's the type of person to stand still against assassins.
Edit: even the reworked talon W has a bit of a delay before returning I wonder what will the OP say if it had the old W speed...
how can i CS tho
On Ori? Stay at range. Your aas are same range as his w, and if he's in front of minions harass with q/w.
gUeSs yOu GoT oUt PlAyeD LOL
that's probably exactly what happened
OP likely didn't respect Talon's lv2 powerspike
Talon's range is so much less than Kat's and he needs to hit his W twice so there is a difference.
The first part of Talon's W is kinda unavoidable, and Kat is much easier to deal with than Talon imo, at all stages of the game

The first part also does little to no damage.
But it adds up. He pokes you while shoving the wave (ofc this costs mana) and by lv 2 or 3 he can just W>flash>Q>auto>ignite you . Or Flash>Q>W>auto>ignite
Also has anyone mentioned how much damage electrocute and ignite do? That shit is kinda absurd
How do you let that happen? Sounds like a skill issue.
To be fair, there are plenty of champs who can all in around lvl 2-3. It's just knowing he can do it makes it clear to be careful.

Despite what his mains say he can still easyily do it
Fizz level 3 Zed level 4 Talon/Kat level 2.
A lot of these champs have had the ability to make 100-0 you at those level spikes for a long ass time now (at least since their reworks).
Hell, the Fizz level 3 1-shot has been a classic since I started playing in season 4.
If you don't respect Talon's level 2 powerspike, it's your fault.
They should just nerf his numbers until he can’t all-in at level 2, then buff him from there. It’s an unhealthy, hidden source of power. And I’m saying this as someone who has learned to respect it.

Pick Lissandra against him. Your Q range is superior to his, you can keep him off you with W, and you can use your E to outplay him if your clever about it. Your ult is your bread and butter against his, since you can self-cast if not under turret, and if you are under turret, he'll be visible due to truesight and then you can just burst the hell out of him and he'll be stunned for a substantial amount of time.
Counterpicking isn't counterplay.

He gave the OP great advice if he were to ever face a Talon on the enemy team again. We all know that.
Only if they also happen to be a Liss player and prioritize winning a lane match up againt a champion who needs to be counter picked, instead of playing what tehy are good at or who they want to play. Exactly why the person above made the point they did. Counters don't excuse OP champions or terrible, uninteractive match-ups, and having a counter pick does not suddenly mean your champion has reliable or adequate counter play.

also talon will not fight a losing lane match up. he will rush tiamat push you and go flip over 7 walls an kill your jungler/top/bot lane.
Most mages outpush talon even with a tiamat. If Talon wants to W and tiamat the wave he is a literal sitting duck to getting harassed for 1/4 of his health bar.
Thats actually how i died. With liss. His aa range still got to me when i wd. Then after that he roamed and got 50 kills so it didnt matter if i ulted myself or him i still died.
Don't act like this is new; he has been able to level 2 cheese very efficiently ever since his rework over a year ago.
Talon is known to take first blood level 2 if you don't respect his powerspike . if he chunked you down with 1 or 2 W's before his level 2 it's honestly an easy kill .. lol . Even without proccing the passive if you didnt get hit by W twice , he can just flash on you to get the empowered damage .
Must be silver/gold/llow plat elo to complain about it i guess .. :/
Talon has one of the strongest laning phases, and if he wins lane he can snowball extremely well in to mid-game. Late-game he becomes literally worthless, whereas Katarina only gets stronger.
Lmao OP, what are you crying about. It's not like he did that at level 1. We can take a look at this in the next patch though. Should buff ignite's early damage, healthy playstyle and all.
yea ,talon lvl 2 all in is prety op.
Kata's e has significantly more range than talons q. Most ranged champions in midlane are able to pick up farm/harrass all while staying out of talons q range, making a talon all in impossible. But this is a lot more difficult against kata.
I agree that talon is too strong right now, but the opressiveness comes from his insane waveclear + roam ability (especially considering how important scuttle is).
If you complain about talon's all in at level 2, all I can say is: get better at league and stay out of his range.

Talon got indirect buffed because of runes. Nimbus cloak and all the buffs to Domination among other things buffed him up quite a bit. He essentially can get access to both his old Stormraiders playstyle while still keeping Execute.
I didn't disagree on talon being too strong at the moment. But right now we are discussing his lvl 2 all in potential (in comparison to kata). And nimbus cloak, which only procs when casting the ultimate is quite irrelevant for his lvl 2 all in. Changes to the domination tree didn't have a significant impact on talons lvl 2 either.

a lot of champs can all in you lvl 2, i know if i clear the minions with ignite elecrocute and land my E Q as ezreal i can 100-0 most champions, including talon. but it still takes a few AAs. problem with ezreals lvl 2 is landing his E cause the minions always fking eat it.

Why is Talon's all in at level 2 relevant tho? So he can do so, so what? if he successfully does it, it is because the enemy misplayed sinc ehis W is so easy to dodge.
And ofc the rune changes affected Talon. They kept buffing the Tree's stats and Talon's passive scales really well. The difference between a long sword and no lon sword on his passive is a lot more than you'd think.
Oh yes that's what im saying right from the start of this dialogue. Talons level 2 isnt that relevant and rather easy to play arround (and not comparable to katas level 2 all in right after her rework).
Talon is too strong right now but the strenght comes from his waveclear, his roam ability and his all in damage after level 6.
And the reason why I'm talking about his level 2 is because the author of the original post only complained about talons lvl 2.
Lets go over the scenario in which this happened.
You got in range for Q, (which isn't a great argument) and got hit by both procs of W.
If he jumps first, theres a much wider opening to dodge one or both parts of W.
If he W's first, its lower than Q range and is a huge telegraph that hes going to jump, and you can still dodge the second hit.
I play a bit of talon, and its not always successful.
I see a lot of talons flash for the melee Q crit thing, so range kinda doesn't really help unless you're out of flash Q range.
I was laning vs talon, he hit lvl 3 and my jungler was in the river, so i see him leave an instantly i follow up but you know he flips over the blue wall the gromp wall and the wall leading to bush in top lane an first bloods my jungler. like lvl 3 an he just flipped over 4 walls. only problem i have with talon is his E.
Oh Talon just all ind me at level 2, but I was playing
mid and he got himself killed.
Who were you playing?
"Let's just complain on the boards instead of learning the power spikes of champions and the points at which I should be careful."
Talon's level 2 all in is hella telegraphed, just be careful when he kills the 7th minion.
