Prediction for the results of adding 10 supports to the free rotation

I'm sorry, there seems to be an issue with the return function on the boards. Queue times: Unchanged. Winrate of the added supports: Lowered. Play rate of ARAM-only accounts: Lowered. Despite the obvious reason being that Support is just not a fun role to play for most, it's odd they came to the hypothesis that people don't own supports. If they really want to lower queue times, then they should test the outcome of adding an option to Fill everywhere except Support. Plenty of players have voiced that they'd like to fill as long as it doesn't mean being nearly forced into the one role that is most unlike the others.

its not an odd hypothesis. its just a very weak one. OTOH it takes them a very small amount of effort to actually test it. whereas changing primary / secondary role selection to work requires investing labor, and changing the role of support to be more fun probably requires a re-thinking of the entire economy of the game.

I find it odd to come to a weak hypothesis.

since League is a social system the group of people who have not experimented with blitz, and don't like support because they only know sona and soraka exists.

therefore there are bound to be SOME gains from this move.

It's basically effort and reward. The effort required from riot here is very small, and the reward, while minuscule, may be tangible.

ultimately what meddler will learn is that the support role is not lacking "champion diversity" (defend the ADC with blitz or with Sona) but rather ROLE diversity (defend the ADC with sona or go counter-jungle with Sona)

That's not the role lacking diversity that's the players lacking diversity. I always counter jungle with Soraka.

I was just telling you what I meant by "odd."

to be honest, when i played league for about 5+ months i still loved playing some supports that went on free rotation, queue times will be the same mid-high elo but in low elo (especially normals) they'll be much smaller because theres people who actually like/ wanna try these supports, also dont forget they said this was just a small test, if it works or not is what they're trying
