A champion gets played at lcs every time? same champ shows up BETTER NERF the new champs in this way you just kill diversity and make lcs really boring see the lcs games 0 diversity like seriously it gets soooo boring for example Skarner shows up 2 3 times in the lcs HARDLY NERFED lee sin got always played at that time and didn't get touched

its the same poor approach to champions and their roles. For example Khazix is primarily meant to be an assassin but does little damage unless he goes glass cannon and / or catches you alone.

So instead of cutting damage like riot did they should cull his utility (ult / jump / heal) to keep him in the role of an opportunity seeking assassin. I think his passive is a poor way to find opportunities as it can usually be counteracted (I dislike that you have to rely on a slip-up for an opportunity to arise).

But they do have incentive for certain champs to be nerfed, using your example: Skarner in comparison to LeeSin requires less skill and can become toxic if overbearing (e.g. too tanky / mobile). Skarner's kit is also much easier to balance as they have simple roles and effects.

Feel free to criticise what i've said as i'd like to see other views on this kind of thing (it's rather boring being attatched to one point of view).

lee sin is much more toxic with his mobility damage and careless playstile lee sin isn't hard to play it is about to know how many things he can do cause he is a cancer overloaded champ meanwhile skarner has much more counter play like being kited poke etc

I think the point is that Lee still requires a lot of skill to truly be a threat. 90% of Lee Sin players are not that good, but those 10% you encounter make you rage. But you could also say this about a lot of different kits, because there's a lot of super loaded kits out there that are very forgiving. Many shitty players can pick up Skarner and do well, but not many can pick up Lee and do well.

This is what im talking about, i was actually referring to lee's abilities being more complicated to balance in relation to skarner. A toxic champ usually has little / no counterplay (which a well played lee kinda falls into during early / mid game) but if a skarner were to be strong (with his ult / slow / stun) he would almost always suck the fun out of the game seeing as most champs won't have the mobility to escape him.

yep, you sure do notice the giant scorpion in every game who has to be directly on top of you to do any damage (sarcasm intended)

his move speed boost is op, but skarner never really does much...he can't even drag you that far, something that blitzcrank and thresh do much better and still provide the stun...

blitz fits the role of tank and fighter much better, can double his auto attack damage, has a silence(one of the most powerful status effects), a 50% mana shield, an almost as powerful move speed boost, and his silencing ult works as an execute as well while doing large amounts of magic damage every few seconds to a random enemy

Have you played against/with a good skarner? He can keep people locked down and is esp good at diving the backlines and removing an adc (provided he builds appropriately). Besides i was referring to why skarner was nerfed not his current state. He did loads of damage for the mobility and defense he had making him stifling so he was nerfed.

Btw blitzcrank is a good burst fighter while skarner is an example of a powerful fighter in an extended fight. In most games i've seen, blitzcrank loses to a skarner because skarner has a stun, a suppress (the most abusive status effect- just think of malzahar), a shield and just outfights him in a 1v1 (if both are somewhat equally farmed).

Skarner has fallen off due to him being a tank with no dashing mobility (engaging power) but he makes up for it in sticking to the opponent.

Btw im not beguiling your opinion im just providing counter arguments.

The pros take what will consistently win games. They will never play a champion just because it is fun or cool for the fans when their livelyhood is on the line. Don't look to the LCS for diversity in champion pools.
