Utility buffs are pro play buffs. Bruiser-build Trundle is dead, has been dead, and he's been running IBG+Tank+Support tank items any time he's been decent since, like ,season 6 or 7.
He deserves a damage or a damage scaling bonus. Getting a decent chunk of AD isn't particularly impressive when you have exactly one means of applying it. Let Trundle be a proper Juggernaut again.
Well, therein lies the problem, does it not?
The fact that he builds purely Tank items means he's more effectively played as just a Tank, rather than a Bruiser.
And something played as a Tank, I.E someone who is meant to soak damage, can't also have a lot of damage on top of that.
Offense should outweigh Defense and vice versa (Juggernauts having a bit of both at the expense of mobility and utility).
But I'll be honest, you are probably more knowledgable than I am, so let's say he gets a damage buff.
Again, I'm against increasing his base AD, as it is already pretty high.
How about increasing the bonus AD scaling on his Q to 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 % from it's current 10 / 20 / 30 / 40 / 50%?
This would promote a more Bruiser-oriented build path by encouraging him to stack AD items in order to chunk with his Q harder (and also make the bonus AD from the Q itself more useful by making future Qs deal more damage as long as you keep the buff applied to you).
Would that suffice?
Side note: I don't think Trundle has ever been categorized as a Juggernaut. He wasn't in the Juggernaut update either.
