Reason why URF was better than ARURF [rant]

In URF you could have picked a champion that can fight decently well against most OP shit enemy could have picked (Fight fire with fire) In ARURF you either win or lose by 1 solo OP champion in 1 team who can penta all day long (Fiora, Xin, Yi, Jax)

People say URF was boring because everyone picked OP champions. Yeah, kinda. But losing to OP champions while you can't do a single fucking shit is nowhere near more entertaining.

On top of that all the toxicity. I won't lie. At this point I belong to crowds of toxic assholes. Why? Because no matter what I do, I end up simply losing in most unwinnable way. So when I see my teammate going yolo "for teh funnzz" and feeding Jax, then I sure as hell gonna throw him few nice boquets of heart melting words.

At this point whenever I see "golden childs of URF" (I mean those few OP champions, who also happen to be slow starters) I tell my teammates to win fast or bully the living shit out of them. And guess what my team usualy does:

4 minutes in, Fiora stands under turret, full health.

10s later

[Fiora: triple kill]

At this point we all know game is lost, not even 5 fakers can turn it around. Then I watch how turrets fall 1 by one. This is good moment to just go afk for me. Because being AFK is BY FAR MORE entertaining than watching Yi getting his 40th kill in fountain.

And very last thing, for those "Urf is for fun, you do it wrong, all champs are OP"

No And No

It would have been fun, if games didn't rely on 1 player who has either lucky pick or URF smurf. I would have done it wrong if I lost on purpose. Damn, wanting to win is wrong? Having fun while winning is wrong?! I'll skip last one, as it's subjective. But tbh AA reliant champions (ADCs) are overall trully shitty. Jhin excluded.

TL;DR

URF = better because you could fight fire with fire. ARURF = shithole where 1-2 lucky players shit on rest and win solo.

P.S

yeah, my ass is sore as all hell, obviously. Having 3rd game in a row today totaly shit by 1 bruiser/fighter constantly getting quads aka "1v5 teamfight and you still lose". Next time bring normal URF. Cause this bullshit is seriously a lame joke of DunamicQue quality.

Entirely agree, and ever since riot replaced urf with arurf, there has been a zillion requests to not do that, with various similar and different reasonings.

That was last year. We're in 2017 now and it's still arurf. I don't know man, I think our hopes are slim.

I think that it should be somewhat of a hybrid. Either each player gets 10-15 of every champion in the game at random to choose from, each team gets 30 to choose from among their players, or both teams get 50 to choose from. If we go for the each player one, you can trade with your allies, even if you don't have an ally's champion available to yourself, thus giving rise to more teamwork because you have to ask different people if they have what you want and figure out if you have what they want. This cooperation to try to play the champion you want in champ select means that you build some teamwork before the game even begins, and that hopefully persists throughout the game.

Another beautiful thing:

A team with ALOT more experience (30+ games) with (AR)URF against a team with 2 players having not even 1 win.

Mathcmaker is so obviously busted. Fuck this mode. Fuck this game.
