I cant get a good game in normals, ranked isn't as challenging yet, and ARAM gets annoying with the poke comps.

Why is my normals mmr THAT high? I hate being stomped and hate stomping(unless it is ranked for that lp).

Is there anything I can do? I can't learn champions without being matched vs diamonds or higher.

Im tempted to learn champs in ranked because of it =/

Or maybe a sandbox mode could help with learning the mechanics and csing with the champs.

Edit: just realized how fucked the title is, it should say: I hate playing normals summoners rift because I am always playing against diamond+ players.

I was just thinking this. For some reason I'm vs diamonds and mostly golds and silvers. Its pretty random now, they seemed to change the matchmaking to have 1-2 high level carries and 1-2 low levels and 1-2 medium level players. Just my observations. I haven't looked into it.

Hecarim is on rotation. and so is rammys. I decided to try them out today and ... of course im vs renekton with the watersports skin. First blood at 2:10. guess I just suck right? He killed me the instant he got level 2. I'm a bronze 3 and for some reason this other account's rating is so high. Then i play other games and the newb is vs me in the lane and I have double the CS but i still have to wait for the gold in bot lane to come carry the map. It feels like I'm watching an LCS game or something where they just farm for 20 minutes before first blood and someone gets countered in lane and fall behind by 20-40 cs.

My favourite way to get practice on a champ is 1v5 intermediate bots. But you can only learn to play as a fed champion.. cause if you die a few times you just end up underleveled and get crushed.

You will learn every spell combo, and some games go on long enough to try out full ad/ap builds then sell all your items and go full tank. End before they all get lvl 18 or you'll probably lose if you're playing a fighter or non mobile.

Yeah match making is pretty random right now. One game will be all bronze on both teams and the next will be pure silver with some gold. (If they're unranked I just count the ranking they had at the end of s5)

Just got out of a game with the other team being Bronze (S5 silver), Unranked(Silver s5), Unranked(Bronze S5), Gold (Plat S5), and a level 30 with no apparent ranked games.

My team was 3x Bronze, Unranked(Bronze S5), and a single Unranked (Silver last season).

We won. But, I'd like to know why matchmaking would think that's a equal matchup.

Actually almost every match I've had had with mid or high silvers / golds in it has been odd matchups like that. It's a good thing though. It makes me work harder to regain the 60% - 70% win rate I've been trying to keep my normal history at on op.gg (Tanked down to 50% starting to climb back up to my goal D:)

I will say this though the normal matches are still less cringe inducing than ranked games. Even when I get stuck with a gold III as the opposing jungler.

I really wish they'd bring back showing borders for both teams. It's nice to know when the opposing jungler is a high enough elo to counteract or negate cheese strats that work on most bronze & silver matches (Early invade to steal buff, etc)
