Rebalancing Hecarim: An alternative to nerfing and gutting

Hi everyone! I'm here to advocate for something that some of you would find ridiculous! I'm gonna ask for something, Hecarim buffs. Ok fine, I kid, I kid. I'm here to talk about the current state of Hecarim.

Here's the issue, after Triforce changes, Hecarim had no reason to build damage items ever again. I'm one of the few people who still build hecarim as a hyper carry/assassin, and the deal here is that while nerfs to Hecarim do balance out the standard Triforce, cinderhulk, spirit visage build, those same nerfs also mess with Hecarim as a fighter, and force him to go the triforce+tank route. What I'm hoping Riot can do, is a nerf to the base damage of his basic abilities in exhange for a buff to the AD scalings of al of his abilities. That way, the people who actually build him like a fighter/hypercarry are rewarded a bit more and those who build him as a triforce machine are rewarded a bit less.

Thanks for your time,

DracoMTA

TL;DR: nerf his base damages, buff his scalings.

Why not just make his movement speed burst not last so long so it actually takes skill to use?

As in the build up or just reserving the full dmg hit? Because the full dmg hit is easy to pull off as soon as you have it builtup after a very short amount of practice.

I think he means his charge lasts too long, so basically he wants to relegate its maximum damage to only be available when you get flash or ult when using it.

No I want his max speed to be built faster but not last as long, it's not really skillful when he has 100 seconds to prance around at 1000 movement speed.

It lasts only 100 seconds...

But honestly, I would be fine with that, as long as the distance he needs to travel for max damage also gets reduced. In fact, it would be more interesting if it lasted 2 seconds, reaching max speed in 1 second. The catch being that the cooldown is reduced.

It takes a looooong time for it to build up, so you need to use it a good while before you actually hit someone with it.

Personally I think that "knockback scales with how fast you are moving" buff thingy is a bit overtuned. Like its basically a death sentence, especially when hec has stormraiders and ghost.

Yeah I guess. Not that Hecarim is able to proc stormraiders that often though :/

You're honestly better off getting thunderlords or tank tree keystone if you're not going glasscannon hecarim.
